Propranolol Tablets Vs Capsules Er 120mg

I just received my refill and they just gave me proprananol instead of proprananol er, is there a difference?capsules verses pills

The only difference is that those capsules are time released over an extended period of time; as opposed to the normal tablet that goes in your system all at once.

The capsules will stay in your system longer because of this extended release (ER). Not all capsules have this function, so it is really just when you see abbreviations like ER or SR (slow release), that you should expect the effects to last longer.
