Proper Way To Suggest Vyvanse For Adhd To My Doc.

I was wondering if anybody has experience suggesting or encouraging his/her doctor to write a specific medication? In my case, it's Vyvanse for ADHD.

My son is prescribed Vyvanse 50 mg and my pharmacy told me that I can get a 30 day prescription for free he is disabled and I can't afford to pay 900.00 for medication I don't work because I have to take care of him his psychiatrist prescribed this medication for him because it is the only medication that works for him. And he needs it by Tuesday. November 21,2017

Natas, it is usually best not to ask for any specific medication, in many cases, if you do, they will view it as being drug seeking, so they just won't prescribe anything. The FDA warns that Vyvanse carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, weight loss, irritability, and nervousness.

Tina, did you find a resource? Unfortunately, I am not finding anything on the manufacturer's website to provide you with a free month. Have you tried asking your son's doctor? Sometimes, it is a voucher that you must obtain from them to take to your pharmacy.
