I have read a lot of troubling facts SINCE I had thais shot, and don't know if I would takeit again in six months ! I sent my M.D. all the facts with the new black box label DRUGS NOT TO TAKE. It seems that people are having "stress" fractures from weakening of the bone tissue. Something about not re building bones but they are being torn down too fast, more than they are made. So consider this drug like all the other cancer drugs of the past for osteoporosis !! Reclast was a significant problem too ! You should feel nauseous for about one week, and you will feel like you have the flu also. Good Luck to all those who need this drug, I am in this category b/c I was on Bisphosphanates since I was 19, (now 66), had 4 doses of RECLAST, can't have that anymore either. Looks l...

Took my first Prolia shot 4 days ago. I am having severe jaw pain. Most people can hear my jaw moving and it feels and sounds like it is cracking. I am going to report to FDA and of course make an appointment with my dentist. I just finished treatment for breast cancer and have to take an aromatase inhibitor for 5 years which causes weakining of bones which is why they prescribed Prolia. I am just beginning but I will never take another dose of Prolia. ## HI! Very sorry that you're in pain and miserable. There have actually been many complaints about Prolia causing these types of issues and many people are refusing to continue on it. Hopefully, it's just some inflammation or something from it and not a more serious problem. Can you post back after you see the dentist and let mw ...

So, do I take the Prolia shot because I have osteoporosis, high risk for fracture, and higher risk because I just started Arimidex. I have been on Arimidex for one month, and no side effects so far. I don't like what I have been reading about Prolia and I don't want any more issues. I'm 59 still work full time, walk an hour twice a week, and weights on the other days, do the best I can on eating right. I don't want to feel bad and can't work, but I also don't want to end up in a wheel chair,so my husband can take care of me. That's not quality of life! I have an appointment June 26 but going out of town on the 29th don't know what to do? ## Hi, Irene! There have been many complaints about problems with the Prolia shot. What I would suggest is going in and...

I was given one injection and within 5 days my calcium levels fell critically low I have been in the hospital for 15 days and my calcium levels are not normal. No one knows what to do for me or how long it will last ## Hi, Emmy! I'm very sorry you're having such a problem. Has anyone tried contacting the manufacturer to see if they know what to do about the situation? They can be reached at 877-477-6542 Were your calcium and vitamin D levels checked by your doctor, prior to getting the injection? Where you taking supplements to prevent your calcium from dropping? The normal protocol for Prolia is to check a person's calcium levels, before starting it and to have them take supplements of both calcium and vitamin D, while on it, to prevent hypocalcemia. Has anyonehad subsidence of prolia pain? How long did it take? ## How severe is it? Joint pain is a very common side effect of this medication and going by other posts on here, it's caused many people to have to discontinue it, because it doesn't seem to change after they've been on it for awhile. Learn more Prolia details here. ## I have had one injection of Prolia and am experiencing pain in my joints and bone pain down my shins. This wakes me up at night. Also have a bladder infection that will require two months of antibiotics....I have aleady been on the antibiotics for a month. Not sure if I want to have the second injection. ## Had my first shot 5 days ago. Two days later I did a normal exercise routine, and now can hardly walk when I get out of bed or up from my desk...

I have had 3 Prolia injections so far. Only recently did I see a pattern regarding the ensuing pain. After each injection, I would have about four pain-free days. Then I would have five months of constant and debilitating pain in both hips, both knees, both thighs and both shins. At the end of the fifth month, the pain would stop suddenly, and I would have one month with no pain at all. This would be followed, of course, by another Prolia injection, and the pattern would repeat itself. The reason I kept going with the Prolia was that my rheumatologist informed me that my pain had no connection to the drug! It took me three repetitions to smarten up and decide to believe my body. I will be having no more injections! ## Hi Jan, Glad to hear you're taking back control over the pain! No...

When a Doctor give you a shot of the drug Prolia, he should advise you of the serious side effects. My Wife took the first shot six Month ago and she go to bed crying every night. The prolia Nurse says do go to emergency and we did, that was a waste of time they do not have any idea what Prolia is. She will not take any more injection on the ad vise of several Doctors. She is having problems with her Jaw and the Doctors just a wafe it off and say it is not a side effect of prolia. She cant sleep she has red spots al over her legs. The Dentist is keeping a close watch on her teeth because the are starting to seperate and it goes on and on, she does not have Osteoporosis and all of this started with a dislocated wrist. She is 71 and her quality of life is no lounger a happy one. She also ...

I got my second prolia shot, had severe shortness of breath 2 days later and I still find it hard to breathe, have gone to primary care physician and she thinks its my pulmonary fibrosis, which I have had for a 18 months. Have not had this severe shortness of breath until last week, shortly after having taken prolia shot ## Had my second prolia shot over two weels ago. Shortness of breath still extremely severe. Been to primary care and pulmonologist. Both do not think pulmanary fibrosis is cause. As they don't see that it is getting any worse. Oxygen doesn't seem to help nor as in the past, predisone helped with some shortnes of breath (non compared to this) and it has not helped at all ## Yes, these types of breathing issues are listed as possible side effects of the Prolia, t...

Readers, I an 69 years old and drew the black bean for a rare neurological disorder called Dystonia (you may want to Google the word to find more information how it affects maybe 3 out of 10,000 people. Anyway, it is specifically targets the neck, eyes, jaw, tongue or other body parts. My case is the Cervical that targets neck muscles to spasm(tighten) on their own. Imagine a permanent "crick" in your neck. Hard to turn pulls in different directions. Some cases disfigure and others are mild. My main reason for the background information is to report a tremendous worsening of the spasms and pulling head in different directions after receiving the Prolia injections. I read where muscles spasms, twitches is one of the many side effects. Because I already have a serious muscle probl...

Has anyone else had brown spots, all sizes, appear after taking the Prolia shot? Most of my other symptoms have eased, but I am covered with these spots. I will never take another shot! ## We've had several other people post about their experiences using it, but no one else has said they went through anything like this. Have you talked to your doctor about the issue? I really can't blame you, I'd feel the same way and refuse to use it again, as well. Have they improved any?
