hydrochlorot 25mg as water pill only.

I was given this for fluid retention, I already take procardia for blood pressure, should I be taking the hydrochlorot or another water pill? ## no, dont take another water pill it may interact to your other med.. try to talk to your doctor first.. ## HI, Sat! How are you? Any diuretic, aka water pill, is going to affect your blood pressure, not just this one. Learn more Hydrochlorothiazide details here. They are commonly used to help lower high blood pressure. If your doctor has prescribed both, then you should just be aware of it, so you can keep an eye on your blood pressure in case it goes too low and they should be monitoring you regularly. Are there any other questions or concerns?

They should be able to prescribed a different medication that won't cause these types of symptoms. One that's known to cause fewer side effects, in most people is the drug Carvedilol: I took it for over a year...

Procardia

What other calcium channel blockers are as effective as procardia, but has less side effects. The side effects that I am concerned with are leg swelling, constipation and lost of sexual desire/poor libido. Thanks. ## All medications in this class carry the risk of causing the same side effects. The only thing you can really do is discuss it with your doctor and try different ones, until you find one that works for you, without causing the same problems. You can find a list of them here, with links to the drug monographs to learn more about them: Is there anything else I can help with?
