What did the doctor say?

Oxycodone can cause suppression of the central nervous system as a side effect, which can cause breathing issues, sometimes chest pain, severe drowsiness, and somnolence.

What issues did the Morphine cause? If that dose was too high, there are lower ones available that you can try. Alternatively, you might also do better with a time released formulation of Oxycodone, rather than one that releases all the medication, at once.

I take REGULAR Oxycodone without the Tylenol in it and I breathe fine. 0 bad side effects. My husband was given Oxycodone w/ tylenol 5mg following surgery and he had to lie down after taking it because he felt sick and dizzy. Tylenol is terrible for your liver and NSAIDS are terrible for your stomach. If you can convince your physician to prescribe PLAIN OXYCODONE, you should be fine. I believe (my opinion) that they added that other crap so nobody stays on it for long. Problem with that is, feeling like you want to vomit or faint while recovering from surgery is stupid. I wish you all the best. Be your best advocate.

The Oxycodone 20mgIR is causing my breathing problems. It stops my pain, but the struggling to breathe is painful. You ask about the morphine 100mg. So tired, depressed , not my self, It was tooooo much.
I see my Doctor in a week and I need to talk to him about the Oxycodone 20mgIR. DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT to try next. I have to work, without my pain medication I cannot walk , the pain is so severe. Oxycodone 20mg IR appears to be too much??? Help with advice, please

It is me Again . I have been on Oxycodone 20 IR every 6 hours now for 4 months. Struggling with breathing problems , Severe bowel problems . I hate these things but without them I cannot walk, work, sleep etc. So I chose to put these side effects on the scale , Oxycodone vs walking, working, etc. and Oxycodone has won so far. I hate them .
I m fixing to talk to my pain management about trying something else AGAIN !!! WHY DID THEY MESS UP norco 10/325 with fillers etc. they worked for me for years !!! I do agree the Morphine 100 was too high a dose, the oxycodone 20 IR ( I cut them in half ) has TOO MANY bad side effect for me. I am going to try :
Morphine ER 30 with Percocet 10/325 every six hours for break through pain ??? PLEASE PLEASE WHAT DO U GUYS THINK ? I CANNOT continue to work , function if this does no work . ADVISE

Did you try a slow release oxycodone like oxycontin? It's not as effective as it was before they changed the formulation but if the instant release is too much for you it might be better. Also you said you took hydrocodone before and you did well but didn't like the other stuff in them but I think there is a medication that came out a few years ago that is hydrocodone only without the Tylenol. I usually see people with constant pain prescribed a time released med combined with an instant release also as needed for any breakthrough pain. Everyone is different though.. I personally like oxycodone the best for pain. The old oxycontin worded the best for me but now the instant release 30mg 2 or 3 times daily best. I tried fentynl patches and opana which made me very depressed. There are lots of different ways of dosing and meds that can be used.

One thing, you could be alergic to morphine. You might try delodid. That is a synthetic morphine.
I have been on literally every kind of pain med out there.
I finally got an implanted delodid pump that pushes the meds directly into my spine. No side effects at all, for me.
