I have had pesistent cough and hard of breathing for 3 months. After several test my doctor could not identify any caurse for this condition . He however prescribed Prilocec for me .DO YOU THINK THAT PRILOSEC WILL BE ABLE TO HELP ME ## it could help. The doctor is treating you by trial and error. Prilosec is used for treating acid reflux. Is this medicine crushable? ## You didn't post what medication you are asking about. ## name an anti seizure medication that can be crushed ## My wife takes all her meds by PEG tube after they have been crushed and mixed with water. I have been told that one of the meds should not be crushed. It is Prilosec. Is there a powdered form or another tablet that can be crushed?

Can I take Prilosec OTC 20.6mg while taking Dexilant Caps. 60mg in the morning. ## Dexilant contains the active ingredient Dexlansoprazole, it is most commonly used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat GERD. Prilosec contains the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is a medication in the same class, thus using both is not advisable, because it is doubling up on the same type of medication. Have you consulted your doctor? If you are still experiencing heart burn and acid problems, while taking the Dexilant, it may not be the right medication for you.

The label on the Fexofen says not to take with an antacid ... is Prilosec considered an antacid? Can I take Fexofen with Prilosec? ## No, it can be used with Prilosec, it is not considered a traditional antacid. Prilosec contains the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor, so it works much differently than other antacids. It works by shutting down some of the proton pumps in the stomach, so you produce less acid. peach color with a large p on it with a line under the p and it is oval solid pill ## If it is a pinkish peachish color with an underlined P then that is Prilosec OTC for the stomach. You can see a picture of it here to make sure we're talking about the same thing.
