I Took My First Month Pill Pack & Everything Was Fine . I Got My Period & Everything. I Started Taking My Next Pack & When I Got To Week I Started Bleeding Again . I Am Now On The Placebo Week Of Pack 2 The Bleeding Has Not Stopped Since it Started & It Has Not Gotten Lighter Sometimes Its Black & Just Runs Out & Have Small Clots . ## That can be a normal side effect of using contraceptives, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and other PMS-like symptoms. If the bleeding becomes heavy, or continues past the third month, you should consult your doctor. Additionally, if any symptoms scare you, it is never a bad idea to consult a medical professional. I can tell you normal side effects, but I am not a doctor. How are you do...

So basically I made the mistake of taking week 4,instead of week 1.....It's been so hectic...what with the flooding down here (I live in Louisiana) After realizing I messed up I freaked and tried to catch up...but now looking at it...idk how I will...I'm already stressed and this made it worse.... ## Hello, Kristian! How are you? I hope you're still safe and well. The flooding has been terrible. If this ever happens again, remember, to start the active tablets, as soon as you realize your error and to take them for a full 7 days, before having unprotected intercourse, again. At this point, if you had intercourse during that week, there is a slight risk of pregnancy, but not very high, due to the fact that most women don't ovulate until approximately day 14 or 15 of their...

Hi. I have been on Tri-Previfem for about 8 months now. My last pill in the 2nd week fell down the drain. I called my Pharmacist and he told me to take the last active pill in the pack (which would have been the Saturday pill in the 3rd week) and then Sunday start my 3rd week of pills and when I got to the Saturday pill that I had already taken just start my placebo pills. My question is do I need to use protection?? ## There is a slight risk of pregnancy, but only for the later week of your period, where you actually miss a pill. To prevent that, it would be best to use extra protection for the first 7 days of your new pack. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrough bleeding and PMS-like s...

Hello, the past 6 months have been absolutely crazy for me, my mother passed away from ovarian cancer and my dad is in hospice care for Alzheimer's. I have been having a very difficult time remembering pills. I thought I was finally on schedule this month, but got my pack mixed up with another half completed pack. So, on top of missing pills and trying to catch up... I am not even sure what pack is the pack I should be on or where I should be in my cycle. Very confusing. :( I have had spot bleeding for the past couple of days, while taking active pills. I currently do not need BC to protect myself from pregnancy as my boyfriend is out of town. I will not be seeing him until the end of this month, 3 1/2 weeks from now. If at all possible, I would like to avoid any PMS and my period a...

Hi! I ended my period the 16th of December and I had unprotected sex the 20th. he used the withdrawal method and I started my new birth control a day or two after. I took them at exactly the same time each day and now I'm two days in on my placebo week and haven't had my period yet. Is it possible I'm pregnant? I've also been very stressed could that delay my period also?

This is my second pack of triprevifem and I didnt skip my period last month. But right now im on my 2nd pack and week of placebos and I havent started. I was suposed to start monday and its tuesday. I might be pregnant but I hope not. Am I pregnant or is my period a little late? Is it normal to skip a period? ## Hello, Casi! How are you? I understand your concern and am happy to help! It is normal to sometimes skip your period, when taking oral contraceptives and is usually nothing to worry about, unless your doctor thinks otherwise. As long as you didn't miss any tablets, you aren't likely to be pregnant. But missed periods, irregular bleeding and spotting can all be side effects of hormonal contraceptives. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking this pills since May and I never threw up till two weeks ago. I started throwing up yellow stuff I have been very moody I have been having real bad headaches dizziness at times. What are the side effects of Tri Previfem? ## Hello, LadyV! How are you? Are you taking them on an empty stomach? If so, that could be what's causing the vomiting, the yellow stuff is likely just bile or a coloring agent in the pills. The other symptoms can be normal side effects of taking it, since it is a hormonal contraceptive. If they are that problematic you may need to speak to your doctor about trying a different one. Is there anything else I can help with?
