stop taking prevacid, dexilant etc....

I have done tons of research... prevacid or dexilant etc are meant to be taken for about 2 months..... myself and many other people have been on it for years! acid reflux can be caused by TOO LITTLE ACID, so maybe the medication is making it worse, now i am feeling one of the many side effects? (nausea and stomach cramping off and on for last year) or perhaps Apple cider vinegar does neutralize the reflux? I bet of all the people who have reflux 95% can be helped with ORGANIC APPLE CIDER VINEGAR.... i couldn't go off the meds, even if i forgot the daily pill, i would have heartburn by midday and then i would have heartburn constantly... SO MANY PEOPLE say ACV works, i had the regular one, but they said it has to be organic with mother of the apple?... so i tried it... a few days now, n

Is It Okay To Take Levothyroxin With Prevacid

I TAKE LEVOTHYROXINE AND PREVACID TOGETHER EACH MORNING. COULD THERE BE AN INTERACTION BETWEEN THESE TWO DRUGS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. ## Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between these two medications; deeming them safe to take together. Levothyroxine however, does have a 'food interaction'. Quoted below is the information that you may want to be aware of: "The timing of meals relative to your levothyroxine dose can affect absorption of the drug. Therefore, levothyroxine should be taken on a consistent schedule with regard to time of day and relation to meals so as to maintain steady blood levels. In addition, absorption of levothyroxine may be decreased by foods such as soybean flour, cotton seed meal, walnuts, dietary fiber, calcium, and calciu...

Prevacid is the worst!

Never again I'll i take a PPI. ESPECIALLY Prevacid. I was prescribed this by my Gastro for esophagitis, gastritis, and a hiatal hernia. The day after i started taking the medicine i woke up feeling like i had to urinate. i went like normal, and i immediately afterwards i felt like i had to go really bad again. I went again but only a few drops came out. i was afraid it was a UTI so i went to the doctor that day and and she told me that i didn't have any infection. she gave me Cipro just in case but it didn't help 6 days later i was back in the doctor and still the tests came back negative. she told me maybe my urine was ultra concentrated and irritating me making me feel like i had to go. i did also get flank pain and it felt like my back was radiating heat. but she just told m

discontinuing use prevacid

Stop use of Prevacid how? How do I discontinue use of Prevacid? Do I stop all at once or taper off? ## Hello, Donna! How are you? This isn't a habit forming medication, so you should be able to just stop it, as long as your doctor approves. However, as reported by the FDA, you may experience some rebound acidity for a week or so, if you stop it abruptly. Is there anything else I can help with?

pink capsule apo 040

It makes my stomach hurt worse, what's the difference between this pill and Prevacid ## Hello, Jean! How are you? Prevacid contains the active ingredient Lansaprazole. The capsule in question is listed by Apotex as containing 40mgs of Omeprazole, which is a generic for Prilosec. Both, however, are the same type of medication. The FDA does list stomach pain as being a possible side effect of these medications, along with nausea, dizziness and flatulence. So, it could be that the Omeprazole is causing you more side effects than Prevacid did. Is there anything else I can help with?

round pill with 30 imprint

I found a round pill with a 30 imprint on one side it is white with peach or pink specks through it. ## I'm confident the round pill you found (light peach or orange round tablet with specks and a 30 imprint on one side, nothing on the other) is a 30mg Prevacid solutab. Typically perscribed for patients with acid reflux symptoms. Can be filled by pharmacist when the black and pink capsule is unavailable, but the solutab is generally 10 times more expensive than the capsule. ## My boyfriend has a toothache and his face is swollen. I gave him these black and pink pills with n 30 on them that I got for my crohns. Do you think they will help?

prevacid and headache

I went to er on Tuesday and was told I have gastritis but I haven't had the scope test yet to know why. They gave me prevacid and since then I have been nothing but dizzy, jittery, nauseous with headaches and was wondering if there is something else I can take until i get the test on Wednesday. Any feedback would be helpful. ## Hi, Sabrina! Very sorry to hear about the gastritis, that is very miserable pain. How are you feeling today? And as to the scope, that may never explain why you have it, it's almost like getting an ulcer over the entire inside surface of your stomach and it can happen for various reasons, such as an injury in a car wreck or while playing sports, many medications can cause it, as well as heavy drinking and eating highly spicy/acidic foods. I am a fellow su...

Gg 637 White Capsule

A white capsule with GG 637 imprint has been prescribed to me replacing a pink and aqua capsule that had a Prevacid 15 imprint. Can't find anything on GG 637. Any help please? ## I can't find a listing for one with this marking, however, the GG logo is used by Matrix Laboratories, which is a subsidiary of Teva Pharmaceuticals and they did receive very recent approval for 15 and 30mg capsules of Lansoprazole, which is the generic for Prevacid. Thus, there is a good chance that is what these are, but you should double check with the pharmacy you received them from, just to be sure. Are there any questions or comments? ## Thank you so much. I wonder why my pharmacy is saying it's from Sandoz? ## Lisa, Sandoz may be a licensed distributor of those capsules. This information is v...

prevacid

## Have just been prescribed prevacid solutab for infant with reflux. This tablet looks different from the one I'm familiar with in that it has no pink granules. It's white and is of a completely smooth consitency...no beads in it at all so i am concerned that it isnt time released.... ## A solutab is an orally disintegrating tablet, meant to start dissolving on contact with the saliva in someone's mouth and it not supposed to look like the other tablets. If this is for an infant, then that makes sense, because they may choke on a regular tablet. Prevacid contains the active ingredient Lansoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce th amount of acid produced by the stomach. It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, gas and stomach pain. Mo...
