What are the side effects of Pramadol HcL 50 mg.? This was prescribed to my mother when she had hip surgery. Hasn't taken any in a long while and has been having hip & leg pain more recently. Took 1 pill today so she could rest. Please tell me the side effects quickly. Thanks.

That is the only prescription medication that I'm aware of that's close to this and used for pain.

Tramadol is centrally acting analgesic that's derived from an opiate, though it's not considered narcotic.

However, due to being distantly related, it can cause similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. It may also have a tendency to be habit forming in some people.
