MY MOTHER IS 82 YRS OLD.SHE JUST HAD A SMALL HEART ATTACK..HAS AN IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT AND 30%KIDNEY FUNCTION.HER MIND IS FABULOUS...THEY ARE PUTTING HER ON CUMADEN,WHICH THEY ALSO CALLED RAT POISON.ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS? ## I take Plavix. Over time the other stuff causes calciun buildup in the arteries. ## Coumadin, which contains the active ingredient Warfarin, is quite often the first and most reliable treatment for these types of conditions. The only reason it was used in rat poison is because of it's blood thinning ability and your mother will not be taking a dose anywhere near what they let the rats have.

Can Plavix cause erectile dysfunction or reduce the efficacy of Viagara? ## What are all the side effects of plavix or clavix? Could any E.D. problem occur due to this? ## Yes, any medication like this can cause erectile dysfunction. Ultimately, you need increased blood flow, these medications thin the blood, so thus, you do not get the needed blood flow. As to Viagra, please remember it is not a miracle drug, it can help, but will not make you instantly erect and turned on, you will still need the normal stimulation!
