The pill is plain on one side and has an X on the other, like it could be cut into quarters. I can't figure out what it is. I take a lot of pills for various ailments and I'm trying to figure out if it's just one of my old generic prescriptions or something that my daughter left around. The pill is small and looks familiar but I can't seem to find just a plainly divided X pill.

If it has no markings, other than the score line, we can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured prescription product, because they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification.

However, it could be any one of a very large number of over the counter items.

Have you tried asking your daughter if she knows what it is?
