I found a couple of pills in my sons room and he's not admitting to what they are and I'm determined to find out. They are yellowish and say NORCO 539 on the same side, the other is blank. Thanks.

I found a little white pill. It is kinda oval and has two sets of numbers but I can't make out all the numbers. I believe two numbers are 66 and then there are three #'s above that , I can make out the first # to be a 2 but can't read the other two

I think it's interesting that everybody finds it neccesary to tell us WHERE exactly they found the pill! LoL! Who cares where you found it... Just describe the pill! Location of the pill isn't going to help determine what it is! LoL!

This is an old thread, but just in case someone sees it, NORCO is NOT made of acetaminophen and codeine.

It is a CONTROLLED moderate strength pain reliever with active ingredients of Hydrocodone Bitartrateand Acetaminophen (Acetaminophen is TYLENOL). The 2 active ingredients work better together for pain than either one alone. Vicodin is made of the same two active ingredients with higher amounts of Acetaminophen, so Norco is basically another name for the well-known Vicodin.

Most people do not realize that you can easily overdose on Tylenol. I think the maximum amount for an adult is about 1200mg per day, but it will kill your liver and kidneys if you take it for too long. My nephew had to be rushed to the hospital for Tylenol overdose.

Norco is just as physically and emotionally addictive as Percocet, Vicodin, etc. It should be taken as prescribed and only by the patient! Take too much at once and/or combine with alcohol or other depressants (cough medicine, xanax, other pain relievers, etc), and you can fall asleep and never wake up.
