This is the 2nd month in a row I went to get a refill on a prescription and now walgreens tells me that the 64.8 mg has been discontinued by the manufacturer I need to talk to my doctor for an alternative. They were only going to give me 5 days worth of pills until I asked how many they had and said I take them all which wasn't even a months worth. i go to a pain management place where the urine test you once a month last month i was positive for morphine. today i tested positive for phenobarbital. i only take vicoden,premarine,prozac,81mg asprin,baclifin,triazodone, ## I also tested positive for phenobarbital, I have not been taking any barbiturates type drugs. Ive only been tested twice, first time was no phenobarbital but 2nd time was. The meds I am taking & have been taking for many years are, adderall/ lemectal/ Zolof/ B-12 injections/ multi vitiman for woman with biotein for hair nails & skin / cannabis when available (more then usual month of testing) for head aches, pain and yes for fun but I've taken cannabis for 30 years, I also use 2 creams for pain with these ingredients 1- voltarer gel diclofenac sodium ...

If I'm allegeric to phenobarbital can I take this (cloraz dipot) medication for anxiety? ## Hello, Sharp! How are you? You should be able to take it. Phenobarbital is a barbiturate, but Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine, so they aren't related. The FDA lists Chlordiazepoxide as carrying the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. However, that doesn't guarantee that you will not also have an allergic reaction to this medication. Many people with medication allergies turn out to be allergic to various medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on Suboxone for over a year and I want to get off of it. I am down to.5 mg once a day. For some reason that last .5 mg is the hardest part for me to get off of. My doctor has prescribed Phenobarbital 32.4 mg. for agitation. But I also have some Clonidine 0.1 mg left from an old prescrption. If my withdrawals get pretty bad at night, is it safe to take Phenobarbital 32.4 mg and Clonidine 0.1 mg together? ## Hello, Angie! How are you? I have taken Cephalexin, night time Cold & Flu (Rexall), Tylenol extra strength, Delsym, Allergy/Sinus Headache, Tramadol, Penicillin V and Oxycodone and I tested for Phenobarbital 5 times. ## I was wondering if any of the above combinations of medications could produce a false positive.

Just started phenobarbital. Making me so drowsy more of a heavy wrapped in a "blanket" feeling can't get started. I also feel just medically off all day. ## Help, Jpswoman! How are you? I'm very sorry about how you're feeling. However, side effects like that are relatively normal when first starting this medication, they should improve in a few weeks, once your body gets used to it. If they don't, or if it gets severe, then you should contact your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

i started taking this 12 hours ago. I took 2 teaspoons every 4 to 6 hours. I. am itching all over. Does it have Phenobarbital in it? I am allergic to it. Same thing happens. ## Hello, Sher! How are you doing? Hydrocodone is a narcotic and they can sometimes cause itching in some people as a side effect. It also has the potential to be habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor? I have been on pheonbarbital for 40 years, no problem 60 mg 2x a day now. I am being told its back ordered, they don't make it, they reformulated it, to 16.2, 32.4, 64.8, 97.2. I have called all the pharmacys, rite aid, walgreen, walmart, cvs, walmart, even you mail ord company can't get it as its back ordered with no release date, what are we to do, we have to have this med daily, and some pharmacist is not going to tell me that the 64.8 is the same as 60 mg that would mean I would be taking almost 9mg more than perscribed, also how can a pharmacy fill a perscription for 60mg with 64.88mg, I would think that if they were turned in they could be in trouble. My RX always reads 30mg phenobarbital (54 years now). I see I am now taking 32.4mg. Pharmacy claims only pheno. available is 32.4mg. Is there a difference? I have been taking 32.4 approx. 4 months. ## Hello, Lew! How are you? Well, the dosage is different, but that's it. It is still the same medication, it's just that many other dosages have been removed from the market. Are you doing well on the 32.4? ## Yes. No problems since Aug. 2008. Is there a change in the dosage of phenobarbital 30 mg and if so why aren't pharmacies and doctors on the same page. I have been waiting for 2 wks for my prescription to be filled. I have taken 30 mg for 40yrs for a seizure disorder. I find this irresponsible on all levels, my health has been put at risk with everyone just shrugging their shoulders. ## Hi, Margy! I have a small doubt that is there any record that Phenobarbital will induce and develop precocious puberty in children ?. I have never seen any issue in the individuals who used almost 30 to 40 years , starting their birth. To the best of knowledge , I have no such evidence, but my colleague is confirming it and she is strongly arguing and not considering any other. Lavetracetum is more expensive but she is strongly recommending it and eliminating the Phenobarbital in place, which is usually cheaper and highly effective. The only side effect with pheno in long term use is anaemic condition, but it is easily controlled with additional vitamins and nutrients. But this is my strong opinion. Phenobarbital in various strengths ## Not only are there copyright issues, but this is a generic medication, which means that it's manufactured by several different companies and each tablet will have different markings to enable them to be identified in case of emergency. has anyone ever heard of deep sleep from a sleeping pill taken by a child mistaken for a seizure the medicine was phenobarbital and my some was 14 and we couldnt wake him up twice his eyes were rolling and he was dianosed with epilepsy but not we are being told it may have been a reaction from the pill he is 30 now and seizure free on dilantin ever since but the levels have always been low only 3.5 instead of the 10-20 he stopped taking the sleeping pill after the 2nd seizure now after taking the meds all these years we went to the epilepsy foundation the the neurologist said he believes he is not epileptic at all he was prescribed that phenabarb for sleeping after a car accidented he was having no seizures then first one was at 5am in his sleep then 3 days later at 5am in his sleep ## ...

Just trying to verify whether this is my belladonna type of pill or another.
