No need to feel awful, you need assistance and it happens to everyone, at once time or another.

How have you been checking with the pharmacies to see about getting the prescription filled?

Because if you're just calling or going in and asking, without showing them a prescription, then you will not get accurate information. If they don't actually see the prescription, then they have no way of knowing whether or not you are someone that is really in need or a potential thief and theft of controlled substances is a very real problem for most U.S. pharmacies.

I tried doing a search for pain management pharmacies in Kentucky, but I didn't find anything.

My only other suggestion would be to check with your local hospitals and see if any of them have a pharmacy that is affiliated with them. They usually stock a much larger and broader range of medications and many of them are public, so they can be used, even if your prescription was not given at that hospital.

Roxicodone contains Oxycodone, which is a narcotic analgesic and, unfortunately, due to the problems with abuse and diversion, some pharmacies now refuse to keep it in stock.

It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth.

Does anyone else have any advice or ideas?

I have a bad back problem for which I was prescribed Vicodin and it has not worked. I asked my orthopedic dr for something to help with pain until we get something figured out on my back and got a call from his assistant saying I had just got my vicodin refilled a week ago and it was a months supply. The problem is I DID NOT get this refilled. I believe my daughter my have got it refilled and basically stole from me. I dont know what to do. I now am in severe pain and cant get any help. What do I do?

I don't know where you live in KY but here just across the border in Clarksville Tn where Ft Campbell is all the pharmacies that arent tiny mom and pop stores carry them. That is what I take for my breakthrough pain and I have no trouble. I fill at kroger and used to fill at walgreens so I know they carry them.

You report her and hold her accountable baby. I know its harsh but if anyone did that to me they would be in jail. Then you can take the police report to your Dr and he'll give you a new RX. This has happened to me so I got a lock box problem solved. Hope you do what needs to be done. She may need rehab and if shes under 18 you can put her there. Take care and God bless and keep you.

To know exactly what's happening in the war on pharmacology, pick out your favorite search engine and read up on "prohibition." Read the part where petroleum derivatives and various organic compounds were used as alcohol replacements and/or diluents. I think the term "bathtub gin" is applicable here.

While the prohibition to ethanol, and the subsequent synthesized facsimile was more or less centralized domestically, copycat pain meds of today are generated worldwide. Drug labs have become sophisticated in distribution, but not so much in product quality control. What you'll not hear from the media, is that the death rate from bootlegged pharmacology is quickly approaching that from the real, bona fide elicit product!! In the final analysis, our tax payer dollars are funding another great regulatory circle jerk!!
