Pharmacies That Carry Buprenorphine Made By Mylan Or Roxanne 54 411 (Page 15)

I've been taking Buprenorphine 8mg for 3 1/2 years now, all of a sudden every pharmacy in our area (that I know of) has switched the manufacturer they are order from, frustrating to me as I just seem to see a difference all though there shouldn't be. Does anyone know a pharmacy that still carries bup mg with the imprint 54 411?

What do u mean about the other companies being phased out? I'm in Florida and have no problem getting mine filled. Walgreens always has orange half moon, the other 2 shops I go to have either hikma or Rhodes,. Are u saying the Rhodes are being phased out when they just got here?? Thx

Sorry I know of people that work for drug manufacturers and they are not going to stop making a money maker. I've talked to CS at Rhodes and Westward they have ample supply and have no plans to discontinue.

Just read an article on another warning letter by the FDA to Mylan. FDA has been after them since 2015. Evidently Mylan is cutting manufacture of a number of medications and laying 500 off. The article talks of poor quality control, inconsistent quality of product and equipment. This kind of explains why their generic Buprenorphine is not available other than a few Pharmacies with old stock. Westward is ramping up as well as Rhodes on the generic Buprenorphine. So other than them, Sun Pharma and Hitech not much to choose from. Teva closed all their US plants and are restructuring. Now the big brothers are after Kratom. Good luck everyone.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am in Atlanta GA. After Walmart now all their stipulations it's crazy what I had to go through to get a script of 54/11 my preference forever or since 2005 when I got on this and it has saved my life.Thank you for your positive info which makes sense.The opiate crisis has really effected all of us.my heart goes out to those left to suffer. I hate to think how the methadone clinics must be profiting.mybeldest daughter died from that poison. I kicked it in 05 after loosing her. Thank God for this bup.We should not have to beg and plea for decent meds especially for the addicts we are trying to maintain.It sickens me how the Walmart folks treated people that I know. I got through their ridiculous rules yet I was still told they can't promise my preference Everytime.Theyve all gone to hi tech and activis. 75percent of the pharmacies here all provide those easily but who wants that garbage. Anyway didn't mean to get carried away with all this.Thank you for your positive post God bless

Oh thank god David, so just so I understand this correctly, we have plenty of hikma and Rhodes to go around and keep us all with supplies. While Mylan has none? I have never tried Mylan. Never..but as long as they have Rhodes I'm a happy camper. Gosh I used to have to take orange half moon all the time. I was constantly fighting withdrawal, ending up taking more than I should only to end up short at the end of the month, which was obviously far worse. I know some doctors here in FL will only prescribe 2 buprenorphine a day, my new doctor will give 3 a day and very few will give 4/day..now most insurance companies at least in my area will only cover 3 8mg /day..unless you want to pay cash for the remaining 30 pills. So .. what I have noticed in Florida since in my area is where this whole opoid crisis started is very few pain management drs left..but a lot of people who were on pain management have turned to buprenorphine treatment so they can get pain relief. Problem is they say they don't like the name that comes along with treatment is (an addict). But hey, their not in pain

Where is the place you know of that’s outside of Cincinnati? My husband’s pharmacy (Kroger) switched to the orange subutex but it’s been making him sick. The white ones with 54 411 dissolve much better for him. And I don’t want him to stop taking. So a Pharmancy in the Cincinnati area that has the 54 411 would be really helpful. Thank you.

Walmart in Wilmington,Ohio which is about 35-40 mins from Cincinnati depending on where your at in Cincinnati. I have no problem getting the westward. I'm on 2mgs so I would call ahead of time to have them order the 8mg if that's what your on or if they already have them in stock but I've been getting mine here for awhile now with no issues.

The orange ones are the Actavis brand of Buprenorphine and make me sick too. I have a Gastral-intestinal Doctor for me. When I get sick from them the Actavis brand of Buprenorphine, he prescribes me Zofran. Otherwise I dissolve a Tic-Tac in my mouth with the orange ones Actavis brand of Buprenorphine and it’s better. Sometimes I’ll take a Cimentidine to help, which is Tagamet. Or you can use Zantac or Prilosec. Those work to calm the stomach too. Also Tum and Lemon-Lime soda

I’m telling you what I heard from my pharmacist in the North. We can only get 2 types of Buprenorphine in all the time and that’s Actavis and WestWard. The WestWard brand of Buprenorphine doesn’t work for me at all. I have no idea why. It’s like me not taking anything at all. I hate the taste of the Actavis brand of Buprenorphine, but it does help my pain. I still can’t do what I was able to do 8 years ago, but I’m better than I was a years ago. When it comes to the other brands of Buprenorphine the pharmacy here can’t get them. I’ve checked every pharmacy in the city where I live. I don’t live in the city anyway. I live 18 miles from the city. It’s different from state to state. Mylan brand of Buprenorphine is still available in California, but not in my state. We can’t get it here anywhere, nor the Hi-Tech also called Akorn. That’s all I can tell you from what my pharmacist told me.

True, as I’ve said in, so many other messages. California carries almost all the brands of Buprenorphine. Not where I live in the MidWest. When I was in California 12-2017 I had no problem getting the Mylan brand of Buprenorphine. When I came home I did. Now I’m on the Actavis brand of buprenorphine. It’s different everywhere. I think it’s because you are on a coastal state just like Charlene is. She lives in Florida. I don’t. I’m smack dab in the middle of the US. No Coastal areas around me.

Ive been taking the Rhodes 8mg Subutex for a month and I'm here looking to see what other manufacturer ppl like. About an hour after I dose it feels more like the last hour before I'm Due for a dose. Rhodes do not take away my cravings and I have terrible insomnia. If I can still get the westward 54 411 that would be great because I used to take them years ago and was fine. I'd even try Mylan at this point!! But no Rhodes suck and you can check google review for Rhodes everyone agrees

I got Rhodes brand for 3 months and definitely didn't like them either! I dont see what everyone is talking about saying how great they are! I did like mylan but seemed they wore off quickly also. I'm on westward/hikma and have no problems with them.

Walgreens sells the WestWard brand of Buprenorphine. I don’t know for sure if they do stuff the Walgreens where you live. You will have to call them and check. I know they carry it in my state. So check there.

Mylan worked well for me. I don’t know why different brands work differently in people. I’m allergic to the fillers in most of them. I’m on the Actavis brand of Buprenorphine because Mylan isn’t making they’re brand yet. I heard, but I don’t know if it true, they aren’t going to manufacturer it anymore. I don’t like the taste of the Actavis brand of Buprenorphine, but it works as well as the Mylan brand did of Buprenorphine. So, to get rid of the taste, I suck on a tic-tac with it and it’s ok. Now other people have been talking about WestWard and Hi-Tech aka Akron brands of Buprenorphine. Some of those brands are available at some Walgreens. You’ll have to call them and verify. Hi, I didn’t get a chance to talk to my doctor about your issues on the Buprenorphine, because I had a issue with my urine sample. Come yo find out, something I ate, caused my urinevto have a false positive result. Me and my husband were talking about that morning while I was eating it. I mentioned to him, oh that’s not going to be a problem, because it’s not in active form. Well it did. Now I have to watch out with certain types of food I eat, herbs I take, as well as over the counter medications and vitamins. I can ask around for you though.

Yes I liked Mylan also and was getting them at CVS and then CVS tried to give me the Sun brand and those did absolutely nothing for me! I then went to Walmart who had the westward/hikma brand and those work well for me, the Mylan worked well for me also but seemed to wear off soon.

Hi Charlene I have gone back to Westward/Hikma 54 411 Bupes. The Rhodes for me had some uncomfortable side effects. I felt tired all the time too. The Westward/Hikma is my first choice from now on. I have had them now as of today 3 times and they do work really well for me. We all have our preference. Rhodes after 3 months just didn't work as well as I hoped for. I usually have the mindset if it ain't broke then don't fix it. The previous prescriptions for Westward/Hikma always provided my needs. Glad Rhodes works so well for you. Be well and may all those suffering in the opioid addiction world and those with physical pain have a generic that works for you. This site is a great way to get some feedback.
