Pharmacies That Carry Buprenorphine Made By Mylan Or Roxanne 54 411 (Page 11)
UpdatedI've been taking Buprenorphine 8mg for 3 1/2 years now, all of a sudden every pharmacy in our area (that I know of) has switched the manufacturer they are order from, frustrating to me as I just seem to see a difference all though there shouldn't be. Does anyone know a pharmacy that still carries bup mg with the imprint 54 411?
Re: Davidjw1 (# 179)
Did you ever get the Mylans? I can’t seem to find them anywhere.
Re: Tony (# 197)
I just went to Walmart and they had them! My first time ever going to Walmart thanks to everyone here for letting everyone know they normally have them! I went to CVS again yesterday and before I even handed them my script I asked them what they had and of course once again they had the sun brand!! Last month they had mylan, so tired of CVS so I went to Walmart and when they told me they had westward I wanted to do back flips in the store lol I was gonna drive to the next city over but thank goodness I didn't have to call around to different cities to try and find a decent brand! I also emailed westward and they told me that Publix, Kroger, CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Target, that they have a relationship with but I asked for my area so email them and see who carries them in your area. But the CVS in my town never has them and I called Kroger and they had the actavis and I definitely will not get them or the sun brand!
Re: Irene (# 201)
No luck on Mylan yet. Heard they will be ready July 24. Taking the Sun brand now. Other than the burn under the tongue they are adequate. I am going to try Walmart for the Rhodes have Mylan at CVS by the end of the month if they dont
Re: davidjw1 (# 203)
I am also looking into other pharmacies other than CVS. Three different brands the last three prescriptions. On the outsdie on the packaging it clearly states Mylan only. I open the bag and it is Sun Pharmaceuticals in India. Granted they all have been adequate but the Sun brand do burn a bit. They also have more mannitol. These are the only brand that didn't constipate me.Problem with Walmart I hear is they don't take the coupons that save me a ton of out of pocket. So I have a couple weeks until my next prescription and will definitely be shopping around. Keep you posted. If you can't wait Irene the West ward are pretty good and worth a few extra bucks. Stay away from Hi Tech that Costco carries and the Actavis Walgreens has up here are pretty bad too.
Hello everyone, regarding Walmart not accepting coupons for opioids; I just saw this from Walmart:
"Walmart and Sam’s Club to restrict opioid fill limit up to seven days nationwide; require e-prescriptions for opioids by 2020"
https://news.walmart.com/2018/05/07/walmart-introduces-additional-measures-to-help-curb-opioid-abuse-and-misuse
Re: davidjw1 (# 204)
I use blink health to pay for my prescription as almost every pharmacy takes it except cvs and walgreens. It's only 146 for 56 tablets no matter what pharmacy or what manufacturer. You pay for it on the website and they give you a card for the pharmacy to type in.
Re: Goozer (# 188)
I need your help in getting the Rhodes Pharma 8mg Buprenorphine out here in California (San Francisco area). Been using CVS but they don't seem to want to help me get this brand. Trying some local mom and pos next. I pay out of pocket and need to use the coupons. If you can help me with this process will be most appreciated. After 40 years of opioid abuse off and on. This buprenorphine has given me a life never imagined. But it really is frustrating getting a brand that works best for me consistently. I get a paper prescription, too. 120 a month is expensive. Thank you for the help already with finding Rhodes Pharma. I sent them an email but no reply... yet. I get my prescription well in advance, too.
Re: Brittany (# 3)
The thing to do is call all pharmacies in your area and ask them specifically what brand they carry
Re: davidjw1 (# 207)
Rhodes Pharma RP/B8 Generic Buprenorphine tablet. Anyone in the SF Bay area ever get these?
Re: Irene (# 201)
yes CVS here in Oakland area ... or at least the CVS I use has Mylan in now.
Re: davidjw1 (# 207)
I find that it’s best to call the pharm company... they never answer emails :(
Re: Dansweet420 (# 208)
Most of our pharmacies here in Fla, Will not give you that information over the phone!
Re: BrittAnn (# 212)
I meant call the pharmaceutical company that makes the brand... sometimes they can help you locate it. It’s sad that we have to go through all this. It seems the the generics for Subutex have changed so frequently way more then any of my other medications. I wonder why:(
I have been getting that brand from Walmart for the past 4 months. I’m in Florida.
Re: davidjw1 (# 209)
I'm in southwest Florida and had no luck finding any buprenorphine 8mg from Rhodes. They have 3 distributing companies, one is called cardinal. They told me a target orders from then. But the ones in my area will not order with a good clientele? I have called every pharmacy in my area and everyone has been very polite with me....all I told them I was doing homework over the weekend as my dr asked me to do....the distributors all 3 told me point blank they are not on backorder. Mom and pop shops usually don't order specials and the big chains will when ordering find the cheapest they can find...humm, I have been told they are also cheap to get...so I don't know what is going on. I'm desperate to try them, mainly all the other ones with fillers are making me ill.
We are treated like second class citizens. These pharmacists believe they have the right to treat us with discrimination and rudeness!!! It is just awful and I have reported this to my doctor.
Re: BrittAnn (# 212)
All you have to do when you call pharmacies in your area is say I'm doing my homework from my dr ..I have been having reactions from the fillers/ binders from the other generic buprenorphine. I'm looking for (WHAT EVER BRAND YOU WANT)...I did that with every phamcy in my area and ALL of them were very nice..I only had one problem right by one near me. All he said was I have 2 people in my area that take buprenorphine and that's all I want. Well I definitely found that one to be disturbing...he was an *** hole..but I just blew him off one Walmart by my house said they will not be carrying buprenorphine of any kind anymore..I live in southwest Florida and can't find Rhodes the have 3 distributors its cardinal, mckesson, and Amerisource. bergen. target has cardinal but only whatever comes In that would be westward now hikma. 54 411 the problem with Winn Dixie was the have hikma but they charge alot of money my dr gave me 90 tabs I have insurance the normal cost for me is $45.q month so I was shocked when they gave me a price of $150 that's more than double. Has anyone heard of that?
Re: Charlene (# 215)
I know how you feel. I’ve was talking the Mylan brand of buprenorphine, until they started having a manufacturing problem. I have been calling Mylan directly and they’ve said the same thing, you can call any time you would like, to see where we are on the process, on getting the generic brand of buprenorphine, out into the pharmacis. Which I do. I don’t know when it will be available in the pharmacies. They keep pushing the manufacturing date back further and further. The Mylan’s generic brand of buprenorphine is the only one that doesn’t cause my asthma to flare up. I’m taking the Actavis brand right now. It’s working for my pain control, but I have to take prednisone because I can’t breathe taking this brand. The other 2 WestWard and Akorn brands were even worse for me. I hope Mylan gets their brand out in the pharmacies soon. Mylan is a good generic form of buprenorphine.
Re: davidjw1 (# 199)
All you have to do is call the Rhodes pharmaceuticals and they have 3 distributions they are cardinal, mckesser or Amerisource bergen. They will tell you what pharmacies carry them. All last week I called every pharmacy in my area to see who has what... A lot of pharmacies will brush you off...so I said it like this: My dr sent me home with homework to see who carries what..,because I have been having trouble with the generics of buprenorphine..so I'm told to call around and report back to her..and it works. I only had trouble with one pharmacy. And I called like 20 in my area. I was told that prime pharmacy has what you're looking for. I'm in southwest Florida.
Re: Pattyh (# 216)
I totally agree and really see the difference in how I’m treated by pharmacies when I started my sub script. Especially being that I’m so specefic about my brand. They wouldn’t be so unhelpful if I was picking up my heart medication and they changed the brand for the 4th time.
