Pharmacies That Carry Buprenorphine Made By Mylan Or Roxanne 54 411 (Page 19)

I've been taking Buprenorphine 8mg for 3 1/2 years now, all of a sudden every pharmacy in our area (that I know of) has switched the manufacturer they are order from, frustrating to me as I just seem to see a difference all though there shouldn't be. Does anyone know a pharmacy that still carries bup mg with the imprint 54 411?

I tried Rhodes last year and didn't like them either! I was wondering what all the hype was about when people was way over rating them! I mean, everyone is different but we all can't be much different when taking these. I have been on Roxanne for awhile now and I don't get much from them anymore, what's another good brand? I liked Mylan but they wore off so quick!

This has happened where I live at also. But the last time I couldn’t find any I just stopped at every pharmacy there was within 30 mins from me. I know that sounds a little desperate but I did. And I found one that always has them. But just google pharmacy’s near me and you should find one that does. Which I live in Chattanooga, tn and we have a lot of pharmacy’s. I'm having the same problem it's slowly got worse over the past year. It used to not be so bad and now it's like I can't find them anywhere. I definitely see the difference too though. Those 460 ones suck so bad and they make my stomach hurt!

I’m in Va & the only place I could find them is a mom & pop’s pharmacy. The chain I use to go to told me they get them sometimes out of the blue but that they are always on back order. Try looking @ smaller pharmacies in your area. Sometimes they deal with different manufacturers than then bigger chains so you might hit pay dirt. Good luck!

I could easily always find Roxanne 54 411 until about 6 months ago and one by one every pharmacy discontinued carrying them but always had a generic ready to give out without so much as a heads up. I called the company that bought Roxanne which is called Hikma and told them what was happening in the state of North Carolina at first they had no clue what I was talking about and said I must be mistaken as she said there was no limits or controls placed on Buprenorphine and pharmacy’s could order whatever they wanted and assured me the stock was plentiful. Surprisingly the rep emailed me back and asked if it was ok if she gave my email to her supervisor. Supervisor said same thing, plenty of stock no limits and said two possible reasons: 1 was DEA was actively watching numbers of how many pills were being dispensed and put limits and 2 sales rep pushing other brands to increase profits. I implore anyone that reads this to call or email Hikma and let them no how much their meds are wanted over other brands and the problems they are having in pharmacy’s. Thank you so much for this information. I live in Dallas and you'd think they'd have an unlimited supply of this brand. I've tried the others and they DO NOT WORK, NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HOW HIKMA WORKS. All the other one's are small and don't do anything. I feel as though I've taken a Placbo. Please keep these in stock and available for those of us that do need them so we don't fall back on the nasty street garbage. This drug has been a BLESSING and I'm sure I speak for all that take it.

Totally got frustrated today when I was blatantly verbally attacked today when trying to fill my script at Giant. Been going to the same pharmacy for this script on and off for years and only kept with them because that’s where I first landed and didn’t want the DEA to flag me. So.. At first it was Suboxone: no real problems. Only sometimes some prior auth issues.. recently in the past year been switched to Subutex, and THATS when it became a problem. recently every month it was like pulling teeth for them, regardless, I still was able to get them. However. They switched me over to the HI-Tech ones 2 months ago. Today I simply asked to change over back to hikma/Roxanne, even brought the bottle in and that’s when hell slowly then quickly unfolded. all of the sudden They’re calling me up to the desk. there’s “problems with my insurance”, this claim won’t go through, you’re being denied. It says you have 2 insurances, (voice is already raised; and I’m being profiled). I said impossible; I aged off 6 months ago and now have state) and I was like wait a minute, why the hell has it not been a problem then the months prior? Needless to say, as soon as that happened I got into an arguement with the pharmacist who was then trying to act like a doctor saying well you’re playing the system, who are you expecting to pay for these anyways, I was like wtf that supposed to mean.: I was basically being turned away. (I also have a Mohawk and tattoo on my neck so for sure being judged) Be careful asking for certain brands. They view it as junky behavior.. Now I have to find a new pharmacy. I have 12 days of extras left fortunately, but I’m beyond irritated. I’m in MD. Hopefully I can find the 54 411’s again. I’m scared to ask at this point after this last experience.

I really don’t even understand any of that behavior from them. I’m around northern Va & use to go to a Giant but then the 54 111’s were becoming harder for them to get in & were always hard to keep in stock when they had them. On the other side of this I was a pharmacy tech years ago so I’m really sorry to hear they were s***ty to you. Now many insurance companies have their own brand/generic preference list. You can usually find it on your insurance website. It doesn’t make sense if your insurance paid for the Hikma for awhile & then suddenly it was rejected saying they will no longer pay for that brand. Most insurances WILL NOT pay for Subutex/buprenorphine unless you are pregnant, breastfeeding for a certain amount of months postpartum, are allergic to a specific ingredient in Naloxone, &/or your Dr has signed a waiver to have it approved for you to be on it versus Suboxone. Each state is different but Va is that way. I use to have it covered but now I pay out of pocket. My advice is to look up small, mom & pop pharmacies that aren’t part of a chain. I get all my prescriptions from Giant except my Subutex because after doing a lot of searching, I was able to find a small, family-owned pharmacy in a neighboring town that specifically stocks Hikma. I did a lot of calling around & just asked & that’s how I found the place. Hope things get better!

How do you order your Subutex before you actually get a subscription for them? My pharmacy wont even discuss the idea said that’s not how it works.

Ask them to wholesale order you in the Rhodes generic. They are like brand name but generic made by Purdue. RP are the imprints. If they refuse, call other pharmacies and ask if they carry that generic or can get it. They will want your business.
