Pharmacies In Pa, Wv Or Md Accepting Insurance For Subutex?

I am a resident of West Virginia and have Medicare with Symphonix Value Rx by UnitedHealthcare prescription coverage which DOES cover my Subutex prescription. I go to the doctor in PA, less than one mile across the WV state line. I am having problems finding a pharmacy in WV that will bill my insurance for the medication although they DO accept the insurance and had no problem whatsoever accepting it for a script written in WV. I also cannot find a pharmacy in PA that will bill the insurance. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in WV, PA or MD that will bill my insurance for my script? I will share the name of WV pharmacies that fill PA scripts if someone will share with me.

Even if you know a pharmacy that will fill a PA script for a WV resident and charge less than $5.00 per tablet for the medication, that would be a HUGE help.

If there is enough interest here, I will design a website with a list of pharmacies that will fill out of state scripts and pharmacies that will accept insurance plans for Subutex. We definitely need some type of resource to rely on and right now there is not one.

I was able to find a pharmacy in MD that fills the medication with no problem and also bills my insurance. Cash price, the prescription only costs $99 for 32 tablets. They are the Orange Oblong Actavis Half Moon/153 tablets which I have very little experience with. If anyone needs a pharmacy, I am very willing to share the information I have on THREE pharmacies, one in WV and two in MD if anyone is willing to also share their pharmacy information with me where they DO accept my insurance and carry the Mylan M-924 tablets or the West-Ward (formerly Roxane Pharmaceuticals) 54/411 tablets.

I am getting mine mail ordered through my insurance because all the pharmacies I knew of stopped filling them.

I'm a patient of A+R in Waynesburg PA. I live in MD. My local mom and pop pharmacy in MD (5 min from my house) always filled my script but recently went out of business. Please, can anyone help me find a pharmacy??

Unfortunately the pharmacies at least in the tri state area (Pa, WV, & OH) will no longer be filling prescriptions for single entity buprenorphine (Subutex) anymore. The changes just went into effect within the past week.

Hello AWV304. It is getting tough to get them filled for whatever reason, either lack of supply or just person preference. I suggest you try a reputable mail order pharmacy like CVS caremark, most insurance companies have a mail order pharmacy they work with, the first time you will have to wait a few days but after that your Dr electronically sends your script and your meds will arrive on time, and as an added bonus a lot of times you don't even have a co-pay if you use the one working with your prescription plan.
