The correct medication name is Periactin, it contains the active ingredient Cyproheptadine, which is an antihistamine that is most commonly used to treat allergic reactions.

It is not approved, nor recommended to be used just for the purpose of gaining weight. In addition, I am not sure it can be obtained and it does require a doctor's prescription.

Have you tried consulting a doctor about healthy and safe ways to gain weight?

I was wondering how many you need to take to notice the weight gain? I haven't taken them since '08 when I lost weight partying and due to stress. Now I'm trying to relax and gain my weight back.
