Periactin (Cyproheptadine) is listed as an antihistamine indicated for allergies. And although one side effect of Periactin is a "stimulated appetite", side effects are mere 'possibilities' that don't happen to everyone... so I'm really curious as to why you would think to use an allergy medication to help gain weight instead of more conventional methods such as monitoring the amount of calories you eat throughout the day? Perhaps contacting a registered dietician or nutritionist may be a wise decision if you need help reaching specific goals with your caloric intake.

If u have a high metabolism no matter how much u eat how many calories it won't help. This also helps slow your metabolism and stimulates ur appetite.
