Percocet And Generic Apap / Oxycodone Ingredient Changes

Updated

Have noticed an extreme difference in the effectiveness along with suddenly, after as a legitimate chronic pain patient for 15 years with no problems, horrible side effects, no pain relief as if I’m taking a sugar pill. This has seemingly been done behind our backs. We have a right to know what we are dealing with here.

Hi. Believe this or not I just had a friend that was going through the same situation, and she has a friend that works in a lab he tested it and that's exactly what it was a sugar pill. She has already taken it to a proper lab. She did get her results a couple weeks ago and has one hell of a court case. She's going to win this big time. I dare them to do this crap. So how many other customers received nothing but sugar? SMH!!

THANK YOU FOR THIS INFO! Abruptly I noticed the change months ago coinciding with “opiod crisis revalation” which subsequently began the crackdown & stigma of pain med percocet/oxycodone without consideration of us GOOD CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS that have been under strict, excellent pain mgmt Dr’s care!

I now know I’ll proceed the same as your friend. However, finding a lab is my dilemma, as I don’t know who to contact or where to begin te search to find a lab. Pls reach out to your friend to advice! God bless you! Thank you for caring!

In most cases if you doctor will write "medically necessary" on the prescription for the brand name drug, your insurance will cover it or part of it and your pharmacy will fill it. However, you need to check with your insurance company to see if they will cover the name brand when it is marked "medically necessary." I'm on MyFloridaBlue and they switch back and forth on whether or not they will cover or partially cover my headache pain medicine. In addition, you also need to check to see if your pharmacy can fill the name brand pain killer as some like CVS have stopped carrying any name brand pain medicines. Shame that people with real pain have to suffer over the governments knee jerk reaction to addicts overdosing. Addicts will simply go to their local drug dealer to get the prescription pain meds, while we who are legitimate patients have to suffer.

Re: Jazlyn (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I was wondering why I am not getting the relief I used to get. Been in chronic pain since 2008. Used to get oxycontin 80 then cut to 40 now cant get them at all. I don't think there is an opioid epidemic. I think the street junkies who are using whatever they can get their hands on, and are overdosing are being lumped in with us legitimate chronic pain people and the government is using bloated statistics as a means to take away our medicines. It's a way to control us and make us suffer so much we contemplate suicide because our quality of life is impossible to deal with. I think they want us to die, to save the government money.

Please take the time to educate your self about substance abuse before commenting; your ignorance was on full display. Most people with opioid use disorder are trauma survivors. From a neurobiological standpoint psychological pain is the same as physical pain; in essence PWUD are also chronic pain patients seeking relief.

Re: southern doc (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

Yes, their Rhodes Percocet they they give to managed Medicaid patients is horrible. It causes major crazy tremors making you feel you need to take more and more, but when it’s the actual pills (I’ve tested this out several times) it’s so evil. They were first by Purdue, then changed or bought by Rhodes. This left me in so much pain & shaking, and the only thing that stopped it was Xanax (which you don’t usually get both).

Then Xanax got hit by Aurobindo for both my Xanax and Adderall. I had a long list of meds, but took myself off everything one by one to see what was causing this. It is evil AF. I want to sue the minute I’m not fatigued. I spent all my backdated Disabilty trying to find cures. I went all organic, air purifiers, natural toiletries, Flouride free filters for the water and shower head. Oh man, if you only knew. So I learned medicaid can’t haggle prices, but insurances can. Plus CVS Caremark does, so basically not everyone’s getting the same manufacturers of generic meds, and pharmacists are blocked from ordering the ones with no issues. This is part of why they have created managed medicaid.

I have learned so much being bed bound reading and researching everything from morning to night but I figured if it was happening to me it was happening to more people, but nope. Mental health and pain meds are targeted, and if you have Medicaid or Medicare, watch out. You are gonna get poor quality controlled drugs that have had FDA recalls on other drugs and from India or New Jersey. And you’re already in a sense discredited because for Disabilty if you're not healthy and have pain or mental health issues. Plus you’ll be called a junkie or mentally not well.

Well, this has costed me 2-3 years of my life and a lot of money, and I hope I can undo what these brands did to me, but they keep buying each other out changing names and formulas. CVS is corrupt. They all know what’s going on, but some pharmacies won’t even try you on some manufactures and say it’s in back ordered 3-4 weeks, when the truth is they're only making one be available, and they know that brand is toxic!!!! I got pills, bottles, and everything - tons of sh** saved. I know what each and every single one did individually. I know these meds since 1991, 2003, 2007 .. no drug abuse history, no criminal history, college educated, clean cut... And I pretty much have gotten off everything and gone natural, but fighting it with my Dr to get the major ones in name brand only.

Keep track of the manufactures, save the bottles and some of the pills, and list what each one did. After trying two generics first, they have to approve it in name brand. Do not go to CVS and don’t even bother with Walmart. The less commercial of a place the better. The other issue is some name brands are starting to be crap too. I’m hearing that being made by other manufactures like Teva makes Adderall name brand stuff like that. Never in my life I’m so pissed. ADD meds giving me fatigue, pain meds creating more pain, even ibrophen 800 and Gabapetin!!! Which Explains why they made Gabapetin controlled.

Use Kratom, it works!!! It really works ... and it’s All natural. Now if I could just kill this major fatigue, it’s insane. When Starbucks espresso or organic French roast ain’t working, that’s scary. And I know darn well it’s the meds that did this to me, it’s not my health condition at all. It's time to unite and get together clean cut, present our case, and sue! This is flat out killing people, plus Drs don’t have a clue. They think it’s health conditions worsening and just add more diagnoses and pills ... because generics have never varied or caused problems to this level before this started big time around 2015-2016. And now it’s full blown out of control the past year and a half and for opiates. Forget it once certain states create managed Medicaid, it made things worse! For real, they won’t end social security or disability. They already have a different plan in motion. Think at all the older people in nursing homes and people who have no clue or control over their care.. they're as good as dead.

Also, who here gets all of a sudden crazy Sciatic nerve like pain? Anyone here on medicaid or managed medicaid or Medicare?

Time to get together and bring attention to this madness they need to pay for damages done and hope no permanent damage has been caused to us but this surely will kill people.

Crazy adverse side affects? Yeah come on, we all know a small percentage of people can have rare side affects, but too many meds doing the opposite of what they're supposed to. When people have had no issues other then maybe strengths varying over 10-20 years, and now all of sudden we’re addicts or mental LOL. Generics based on your coverage instead of everyone getting the same generics that that store happens to have on hand at that moment. And they did this whole managed Medicaid thing to make like it varies per insurance, not that it’s strictly a Medicaid and Medicare thing. But for all folks on opiates, no matter what coverage I think they're doing this. Then enough complain to the FDA and they switch up to another manufacturer, but who’s calling everyone’s lucky if they even get anything, and petrified to complain to the FDA and pharmacy. Or make too big of a deal or they’ll get cut off.

I already went through crap to get the right meds, then dropped all the weight, crappy non-controlled ones. I busted my behind hiking everyday for miles to get my body back, and then boom I got it back, and they started this managed medicaid stuff. Dropped having any kind of pain management pill. Dr who was the only one, and because of my improvement and weight loss of 90lbs, in 3 months, my primary Dr said I will continue you on them. He himself is shocked at all my knowledge.

I’m telling you the whole medical center is so slammed no one knows what I’ve learned. It’s so evil. Just think of how many people have 5-6 different things causing them adverse side affects all at once. They are probably wondering how am I even still alive lol. I am so glad when I confronted the CSV lady and said "look, I know I have a long list of meds but I’m only taking two things", and she came clean. She was friends I think with my mom and transferring stores. Well this did not make the 30 something year old. He made my life hell, not filling my scripts in name brand saying they're in process. Having me wait 3 weeks, going through withdrawal, left hanging on Adderall, Xanax, and Percocet.

There’s no withdrawal from Adderall, and I weaned off of Percocet at the time using the Xanax and Kratom. And then boom, here comes Aurobindo Xanax. It made me sick and I reported it and I had to take it two months for withdrawal. Well who wants third world medicine from a place that’s had 7-8 FDA warning letters and now some recalls? My guess is that those drugs are fine, but to make it look like the FDA is doing their job they pick something that’s fine. I’ve tried both their Adderall and their Xanax. And looking back at old bottles I had their Gabapetin. Well, I was shaking then too. Some give a mild sciatic nerve like pain, and some give a heavy intense you just want to be dead sciatic nerve pain. That is nothing related to your health condition at all, it’s purely the medicine. I’m sorry - you should be able to request whatever generic you want, and the pharmacist should not be blocked from ordering the generics with less issues from being ordered. And how they’ll say is you get whatever generics your insurance buys, but we all know what that translates to lol.

This is so evil, even if i don’t see a dime from a company, I want this knowledge to be very public cause everyone would laugh at the idea of pain meds causing more addiction. But it’s causing more pain that makes you feel you need to take more of it. But I never did and I don’t have that kind of chemistry at all. I take it to get stuff done, then relax in the afternoons and evenings, cause being too bed bound will
make things worse, as will it for anyone.

Re: DRSIMMSMD (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

Yes I’m very aware addiction exists and have seen it and been around plenty. But if you’ve been on a drug over 20 years with no issues chances are you’re not all of a sudden gonna become an addict . I’m very aware of every possible case. Scenario. But pills designed a certain way could literally create an addiction appearance, especially if they have no idea how the pills normally are. I would’ve laughed if you would tell me a pharma company is to blame for addiction. But after seeing how those Rhodes Percocets pills worked insane - and I literally tested it out 4-5 times individually, taking no other med, and every time it brought on a crazy sciatic nerve like pain that lasted for like several hours in the morning.

I was prescribed only 2 x 10mg of Percocet a day. You’re talking to someone who took themselves off a 50mgs fentanyl patch in 3 weeks. Because when my Disabilty paperwork was filled, my Medicaid state shrink ripped me off it. Wrecklessly. Well I told my primary dr I’d give up opiates fentanyl and Percocet to keep my Xanax because I can’t take an opiate or add meds without a benzodiazepines. I don’t like feeling on edge. I don’t like meds at all - I take them to get the basics in life knocked out while I continue to seek out a better and natural long term solution living off 771 a month and and Medicaid. Makes it real limited. I got rental assistance, so after bills, everything goes towards organic foods and vitamins, and finding the latest all natural cures or detoxes etc .. nature truly does hold all the cures. It’s nature and foods being messed with by evil people that caused all these illnesses for the most part, but we won’t get into that.

Traditional medicine should be used as last resort. I am not against traditional medicine at all. In fact, I used to advocate that if the pros out weigh the cons of a medicine then it’s justified to take it, but the game is changing. Big time. So people who have never had issues are having issues, and people who don’t know the meds don’t know any better. Drs who have been around awhile don’t have a clue as to what’s going on and they don’t like to admit not knowing. Slowly they’ll catch on. Lawrd knows. I’ve been vocal and not gonna stop. They also give out non controlled drugs over prescribed. I see these kids instantly gaining 50-80 lbs on heavy psych meds, and other people like at the VA or VA Drs, and you give a person a heavy psych med that works one month, and the next month it doesn’t, or varies in strength too much - you’re gonna get one heck of a spiral.

This is why I can’t sit back with all I know and just keep quiet. You got people committing suicide and doing crazier-than-ever things. Have you not seen the insane news articles? This country is very medicated. One way to mess with us would be to mess with the meds. One section of people at a time. Right now anything in the pain or mental health category is targeted. They’re already barely taken serious . It’s evil to Target our most vulnerable.

And I just lost a friend over the summer July 4th, I saw it coming and I had to cut it off, cause I’m not gonna be around a liability. He was young and opiates were his thing. He turned to the street Hagerstown MD and died ... still haven’t gotten the results of his autopsy from his mom. I asked 3 weeks after it happened cause there’s no way he’d leave or OD on purpose with his dad having cancer. He self medicated because he couldn’t tell his family he was gay and he was emotional. It’s extremely sad. 27 years old and goes out. My guess is cocaine and it was the lethal fentanyl, could’ve been heroin.

I’m friends and very close with my legal aid. She works for 5 counties and I live in an area that has a lot of military and people who suffer from PTSD. While being bed bound and fatigue coming through everything and taking myself off every medication one by one yet filling everything each month at good old CVS, I busted the cause of each drug ! This is definitely not a time in history to have a wild partying drug stage, or you're dead. And let me make clear I’m against all street drugs period. I’m just saying it’s sad that one wild night now can cost someone their life, as well as someone in so much pain that can no longer can get anything from their Dr... They turn to the street, and boom it costed them their life. I hope things get better for everyone’s sake.

There’s no new opiate crisis. It’s not new at all. Addiction exists, but you can’t punish those truly in pain for those who are junkies, cause junkies will find a way no matter what. I had one Dr that said "unless you're 6 months dying from cancer forget it". Maybe someone or these Drs do know about these generics and the agenda. I’m a no risk patient. I have history showing no problems medically or addiction wise going back all the way to 1991. It simply was the fact the Dr was dropped from my coverage. Gmo weed, cigs, and it booze to self medicate can be worse in my opinion.. Medically, the cycles and things I’ve been through by having medicaid, has given me PTSD. Like bad generics causing adverse side affects after I finally got Disabilty and my own apt. And finally thought I had peace to be bed bound in a place, btw, that does apt inspections. I got a beautiful french bulldog and my mom lives a mile from me thank God for her. And thank god I got this dog right before it got worse. It forced me to keep fighting and fighting and looking for answers. I made it my only focus. I would go food shopping once month load up, killing my back. Seeing my primary once every 2 months, and my mom came over to clean every so often and hang out. And I’d walk my dog 5-6 times a day and thank god I didn’t do the puppy thing. And she’s a good girl. These dogs are perfect companions and in size and don’t need to much exercise. Anyone with PTSD should have one.

Trust me, I don’t need to spend all this energy trying to warn and save the world but I know and have seen too much to just look the other way. I wouldn’t want anyone I can prevent from going through what I have several times and awareness needs to be brought to this issue. But instead, everyone’s too busy arguing Republicans vs Democrats and trying to make ends meet.

Best wishes

Good eventually conquers and over throws all forms of evil .. I’ve been told that opiates and pharma are part of agenda 21. I haven’t read it yet, but from what I’ve seen and everything going on, how can I say it’s not population control of some form? Target the mental health and elderly and those in pain first, and those on the system. I’ve had the best of the best of Drs and insurance. I know better. And I feel awful for those who solely have to trust the Dr and state and medicate their kid or parent after 15-30 minute chat. You can’t make a full evaluation on a kids mental health in 15-30 mins . And why is there no liability for meds that aren’t controlled that can be worse?! Way worse .. time to be united not divided.

I'm only on Oxy/10/325- same dose for 10 years post botched spine surgery. I've been a health nut all my life & was forced into a rigged health system post disability. I too have done a ton of research after my 1st Rx from Camber Mfg. Jan 18. I got deathly sick...finally got tested.for Toxic levels & findings were arsenic, lead, aluminum among others!. Finally found a generic that was ok but this year everyone dripped due to price hike. Big problem is Big Pharma greed! The generic Mfg are now overseas in unsupervised facilities. I can't even get location addresses. Many in India/Pakistan Mfg. in industrial areas, using the same water sources polluted from industrial Mfg..They can also source inert ingredients from China & not list...these too, in industrial run off areas. The Camber with arsenic became more smelly, by week 2 ,I opened the bottle it literally popped & a smell like paint thinner & rot came out! My toxic report is consistent with paint manufacturing chemicals! I researched & found Mallenckopt was ok...it was. Now this year due to huge price hikes...all pharmacies in my area refuse to order...they lose too much$.All by design...the cheap, useless generics are all the pharmacies will carry. Smaller pharmacies are compensated based on the cheapest brands! Check out the Financial sections to see the 'plan'...

Hi,
How do I find out information about the generic meds and if my CVS has changed from one generic to the next. The first time I was prescribed liquid Oxycodone, I got it filled at the hospital in Center City Philadelphia. The medicine was very thick in consistency and extremely effective. When I got it filled next time at CVS, I noticed right away it was the consistency of water, tasted much differently and did not seem to provide the same effectiveness as the bottle I got from the hospital pharmacy. This week I got a new bottle from cvs, and the taste is different again, and it seems to be even less effective and I started having sciatic nerve issues with the second dose. What do you guys think? What can I do?

Re: Rosr (# 14) Expand Referenced Message

I too & many have had same problem w/Camber. I felt I was being poisoned & still do now that I’ve been on Alvogen generic percocet 10/325. Alvogen is horrible but I have no choice as even though my Dr wrote “medically necessary Endocet or Percocet BRAND ONLY!” Publix has tried to order either of these brands for me but told me they are not available & all they carry is Alvogen. I was told to try other pharmacies for either these brands or another generic ie; Mallinkrodt...the tesponses being “we r not taking on any new CP PATIENT’s” or “our quantities r limited” etc, etc! So I’m forced to stick with Publix, take the Alvogen that makes me sick bcuz withdrawels & living in agony r worse!

Years ago I was a near fatality in a car accident which resulted in severe lumbar & cervical spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, lotsa broken bones & more. I’ve been in SUPERVISED Pain Mgmt for 18yrs after exausting 6 major surgeries & endless yrs of procedures that failed AMEN to the day I was chosen as a study “guinea pig” with the top Doctor’s & hospital’s in their discovery & developement of “Opiate Pain Management”; To name a few Yale, Cornell, MAYO CLINIC, Montefiore Hosp NYC, Boston Hosp; With that, PERCOCET became my lifeline as the only med that agreed with me to lead a semi-productive “walking” life. So sad too; OMG if Cancer & all terminally ill patient’s aren’t suffering enough... now they, too have to add to that suffering horrible side effect’s from tainted, poisonous, re-formulated generic pain meds?!?!

Praying for us all as LEGITIMATE CHRONIC PAIN PATIENT’s that we be recognized instead of being victimized & lumped into the demoralizing category as “drug addicts!”

Re: Wendy (# 15) Expand Referenced Message

Sounds like you got Rhodes/Perdue in liquid format ! On the label you should see it ! Cvs is the worst ! Dammit they got you too ! It is always when the second dose happens you get the crazy sciatic nerve pain and so far that’s been the Rhodes/Perdue company being sued yet that’s all cvs offers now in liquid that’s different so it must be one using that same formula see and then you get the nerve pain thinking you need more and some take more . And guess who created The suboxone get off opiate drug. The same people who created the generic Percocet that causes the crazy sciatic nerve pain thank God I got Xanax from my dr and used it to get off them that and kratom then my Xanax got hit by Aurobindo! The two most evil companies they not only are crappy they make you physically sick. I’m on Disabilty but I was supposed to climb up the ladder not fall off it. Complete bs. None of my issues new Are related to my health ! They were purely bad meds eggs ibrophen800 has been hit , gabapetin which notice went right to written script, trazadone lingered which it never did , Adderall causung fatigue , and the one drug that hasn’t been touched till 3-4 months ago my Xanax ! All of these are survival for pain and focus but I had to take myself of every single one I use kratom get the meds filled test them out individually and I plan on suing this is evil !

Are you serious! What I don’t need is thinking I have sciatic nerve problems! My dr has written name brand on my script, but I have never gotten it. Any other drugstores have a better brand? My husband doesn’t think we have time in our schedule to go into the city once a month! Can you believe that? I’m also waking up feeling anxious every morning. Do you think it’s oxy liquid that I take before bed, or do I need a Xanax? I’m so confused! Also I still have breakthroughs with my Baclofin for my dystonia. I’m afraid it’s going to ruin my joints as I age. More advice please!

BIGY pharmacy has been giving me (2) different containers, claiming that some are from one manufacturer and the others are from another.
They look exactly the same but one of the containers is a weak-version.
I think they are trying to trick me to believe I am getting the same med.
I can barely move when I took the ones in the container with less pills.
Obviously, not as effective but who would test them to be sure?
I have 9 levels TOTAL fused between my lumbar spine and cervical spine.

Absolutely 100% agree! I’m also on Norco and Oxycodone and when the “Opioid crisis” began my meds no longer worked. I’ve said it for years I think their messing with the meds. I’ve been a chronic pain patient going on 18 years and my meds always worked, then one month it stopped and I know damn well it’s not tolerance. I work in a pharmacy and always hope to hear something about it but no of course not!

A bit off topic but still informational.

Sacramento, CA – A new bill calls for the end of pharmaceutical companies ‘pay-for-delay’ tactics regarding patents.

California’s Attorney General Xavier Becerra partnered with Assembly member Jim Wood (D-Santa Rosa) to introduce AB 824. The bill would stop pharmaceutical companies from pocketing billions in profits by using a “pay-for-delay” practice that results in an extension of their patents on brand name drugs beyond what Congress intended in the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. That practice typically allows brand name drug manufacturers to pay competing generic drug manufacturers to delay bringing a cheaper version of the drug to market.

For example, Becerra shares, “Take the case of the drug Cipro. It’s a common place antibiotic manufactured by Bayer. The pharmaceutical company held a patent on the drug that was set to expire in 2003. So, what Bayer did was it reached a deal with many of its rivals, paying them $400 million dollars to keep their drugs off of the market for six years.” He added that during those years, Bayer raised the price of a single pill to $5.30. Once those agreements ended the pill’s price dropped to 17 cents.”

Please you need to actually give kratom a shot order it and capsule it and take 1-3 tablespoons

It works plus there are other things just until you can get what you need but trust me it’s strong for natural and detoxes you from chemicals that make the pain worse.,

Re: Mejane (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

I'm sure physical pain is challenging, but at least there are meds to make it go away. Listen when I say that there is nothing worse than treatment resistant depression. I was 38 when it started and at age 60 my doctor found an off label med that worked. For 2 years I had my life back. But no one will help me now that I need more than the recommended dose - which is for narcolepsy. So I'm 62 and back in the black hole. As bad as physical pain is, depression is so much worse. Especially when there's no treatment, or someone decides how much you can take. It is cruel and inhumane to do this when someone is suffering.

Re: Aguywhocaresaboutothers38 (# 20) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you ! You know so much! With my brain injury, I feel like they could pull anything on me and I wouldn’t know what to do because my processing is a bit slow. So, what should I do? I was already messed up with The use of Reglan for my Gastroparesis. This has been only a 6 year process for me, and I don’t know how you guys can take all the issues with meds. It started with what they said was reflux in 10/2012. Then they said it was my gallbladder, took it out and I woke up with the worst gi symptoms I ever had. Then I was just so gi sick that I was totally dehydrated, passed out in the shower and landed on my head and when I woke up I still had the gi issues, and now had the worst headaches I ever had which gave me the dx of migraines. My brain injury symptoms got worse and worse so they said I had a diffuse atonal injury. Then my gi issues turned them to a specialist who diagnosed me with Gastroparesis. I took the Reglan while in the physical rehab hospital and I was just barfing all the time, every meal. So then I had lost so much weight, I had to get a feeding tube, then a port, now a picc line. Then suddenly I got lock jaw and then crazy muscle movements so they said no more Reglan. But then the symptoms laid somewhat dormant for a while. They came on full force last spring and I was put on IV Cogentin which with the Xanax ER, was trying to erase my memory. Now I take the Baclofen, and it helps a lot but I get breakthroughs of the bad dramatic body twisting dystonia and they seem to come between the doses of Baclofen...I take 10mg in the am, 5 mg in the afternoon and 10 mg at night. Is that a really low dose? I also take ropinorole for restless legs. I just need help. I’m so afraid of all these meds, but have also experienced relief from many of them. We are pretty sure when they removed my gallbladder, they injured my vagus nerve which can reek havoc in a body as it travels all around in your torso. So lots of abdominal pain, lots of muscle and joint pain, migraine pain.......help?
