Paxidep Cr 25 Mg

What is this tablet prescribed for and what are the side effects? I have not started it yet and feel a little nervous.

I have been taking Paxidep CR 25 for the last 7 years, but now I am getting side effects of this medicine. Always drowsiness and always in sleeping mood. I can't read news paper - whenever I am trying to to read within 10 second my eyes will be closed and I was in a sleeping position.

@Vinu - Paxidep CR is prescribed for anxiety and depression, and contains the active ingredient Paroxetine. The manufacturer is Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd. [1] The American brand for this drug is Paxil.

@Ajay, drowsiness is actually listed as one of the side effects of Paroxetine. I'm surprised you are just now experiencing this after 7 years. Has your prescription changed manufacturers or anything like that? If you ever think of discontinuing this drug please work with your doctor on a safe taper schedule since abruptly discontinuing SSRIs like this drug can be dangerous.
