Pain Clinic Cash Only Tennessee (Page 2)

Updated

Here is my problem. Been in pain management since March 2014 when I was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in both feet and had right leg amputated. So my PCP found me a pain clinic and was prescribed 120 Roxicodone 30mg + 90 Oxymorphone ER 15mg. I was at pain clinic up till March 2015 when they shut down. My Dr @ pain clinic that shut down, found me another pain clinic. I've been going to this pain clinic since March 2015 till present (October 2015) my first visit the NP dropped me down to 90 Roxi 30mg and kept me @ 90 Oxymorphone ER 15mg, which I was fine with. Of course being new to this pain management it was hard losing that 1 extra pill. My next visit, i brought my bottles because I get a 30 day supply but go every 28 days. The NP then told me that She has to drop me Once again to 120 Roxi 15mg, i told her that I knew this wasn't going to be a good idea because for 2 weeks the previous month losing that 1 extra 30mg roxi was rough on me, but she is the expert so I had to go with it. But still kept me at the same 90 Oxymorphone 15mg. 28 days later I bring my bottles, took routine drug panel & here comes a Dr this time not the same NP. I told him that this was my worst month of my life since being in pain management, and I explain how his NP dropping me basically from 120 roxi 30mg to 120 roxi 15mg in less than 2 months was a sickness I never experienced in my life. So the Dr told me that I've reached the max of milligrams of oxycodone their clinic gives for my condition.

For those who don't know what Charcot foot disease is. Lets just say there is no cure but is treatable through pain management then eventually amputation. Which means I'm losing my limbs. When I know this is not true cause my aunt goes to the same place and gets 150 30mg roxi for a bad knee and hurt shoulder. But he said what he could do is up my Oxymorphone from 15mg to 20mg 3x a day and keep me at 120 15mg roxi. I told the Dr I felt like that was way to much Oxymorphone for me But since I was getting roughly only 4 hours of pain relief a day I would try it. Well lets say i was right, it was way to much Oxymorphone for me, so at next visit when they did my routine drug panel and pill count. I was over on the Oxymorphone (Opana) and I explained that all I done was sleep taking all that Oxymorphone. Now does that sound like a druggie to you? Now this is why I'm needing to find a new pain clinic in nashville. Since March 2015 till October 15, 2015, I never failed a u/a. Was never short on my pill count. Always showed up when called in for pill counts and was never short on the surprise called in pill count. I get a call on Thursday October 8th for mandatory pill count. I explained to the lady that I just got released from hospital with signs of phenomena and flu and that I was not getting back out cause I couldn't even drive myself to the ER the night before. I told her I just got home and I was in bad shape to get out. I then asked her if I could get my grandmother take my bottles to clinic for count. I was then told NO that for me to wear a mask cause I was only going to be there less than 2 mins. I told the lady could I just come first thing that next morning and she told me NO because she tried getting a hold of me the day before to let me know of my pill count being on the 8th, once again I reminded her I just got out of being over night at ER and if I wasn't there by 4:30pm I would be dismissed for failure to follow pill count policies. I told her I have always been in compliance with every policy. I never not showed up for pill counts and was always model patient. The way she talked to me and the rudeness she gave me, i told her to dismiss me and hung up. I am never not one to disrespect anyone that is a healthcare provider to me, but I was not going to be talked to like I was a pill junkie and was only going there to get pills to feel high. Hell like I said, I didn't know nothing about pain medications till I lost my leg. I called my PCP today and told him about it. I got 2 weeks to find a pain clinic. Anyone with advice? I am cash pay cause I am awaiting disability which my benefits should kick in in about 2 months. So if anyone knows of a good pain clinic who will treat me as a person in pain please respond.... Thank you guys for letting me vent.

Where do I mention about a legal suit?. Lol r u for real? U leaving a comment on a almost 2 year ago post. Believe me I will never have a problem getting a Pain specialist to treat me. You are too funny. A legal suit? That would be the stupidest thing to ever do. Lol r u serious. Not 1 time did I mention about advise about taking legal action.

Hey Spyz, sorry I forgot to respond to u. But i did go to Interventional Pain Clinic in Hendersonville. But I self discharged myself in October. Cause they were giving me the 15mg oxycodone 4x daily and 7.5mg of Oxymorphone er 2x daily and the inj's. they make you do. They were billing my insurance for things they never done. And after seeing that. I got out. As they knew, I didn't go there for back problems and having to do lower back inj's. and ordering a back brace, all I could do was laugh. I mean i would go into exam room and spent 3mins if that with NP or the actual Dr on months of not having to do with inj's. And then being in and out. I tried several times to get back on my orginal pain regiment and with nothing being done. I checked out. But I have finally found a caring specialist that doesn't throw procedures or making u do inj's. that doesn't help. The clinics that make you do them are just says to over charge your insurance and not spending time with the patient and their needs. That is what interventional pain was doing. When i was going through the things they was charging my insurance for but NEVER done. Like U/A's. I had done a U/A 2x the 7 months I went there but would charge my insurance each month. But I feel ya on the NOT budging on the oxycodone. But they would not give me nothing higher than a 7.5mg Oxymorphone was a joke. When I was on 15mg oxymorphone 3x daily. But sorry again not getting back with ya.

Mike, I wasn't being a smart butt, I was speaking from experience. The pain clinic I work at they don't want to hear withdrawal. They do however respond to the meds not working. No need for the name calling. I was just trying to help. About the legal suit Mike I was commenting on another comment. My post was directed at you anyhow.

OKcGirl. Maybe I took your comment wrong. I was stating that the clinic I went to cause my clinic shut down. I was on the same meds for 3 years. Then this clinic I got referred to cut my back without weaning me off the meds I was taking. I don't know if u ever went through withdrawals but it is painful. I didn't ask to be put on these pain meds but losing my right leg, left foot crushed and left hand has pins and rods to hold bones together so i wont lose that hand. My charcot Marie tooth I have caused me to lose my feet and limbs and I'm in pain every day. I get on a lucky day up to 4 hours pain free. I was not throwing names. It just hurt reading your comment about withdrawals. It's probably the same pain clinic u work at. These pain clinics need to know that all patients have the same pain.. Sorry if I offended you but be in pain 24/7 isn't a life I want to live...

Mike, I too am a chronic pain sufferer who just happens to work at a pain clinic. Withdrawals suck really bad. I was just stating what the Dr I work for tells us intake nurses to code when withdrawals are brought up. I really wish I could help all pain sufferers. I hope you get the help you need. Chronic pain patients are paying the price of rogue patients and doctors.

Hey there OKcGirl. Thanks for the kind comment. I get what u are saying now. I have finally found a good Dr who is managing my pain. He put me back on my original pain regiment. When my charcot is out of remission he adjusts my pain meds to keep me pain free. And when I'm in remission he wings me back to my original pain regiment. And I won't go thru withdrawals. You see my charcot disease isn't curable. It's treatable with pain management so I'm not in pain. Thank u again.

I am looking for a pain clinic in Houston Tx that I can pay cash. Trying to reach my deductible is not an option. It seems when I have found a pain clinic they are shut down? I have tried to research but most of the information is old. I started reading the above questions and thought this is the first time I've read real stuff, not sure how clear I'm making myself. I just need help locating a place somewhat near me. Thanks in advance.

I'm losing my pain management doctor. I had one bad lab in 13 yrs. I'd like to find a Dr. soon who will still treat me with the morphine I need. I've been on 180mg for 13 yrs. I don't know if i should bring my records that show this dr. firing me or try going in like a brand new pt.? I'm so terrified, bc I know this is what works. I don't know why my drug panel was wrong, and I'm 58, a grandma, no history of any abuse or trying to get increased dosages, no early refills, etc. This one bad drug panel, I'm afraid is going to ruin my life. I really can do nothing without the meds. I just lay in bed. The physical withdrawals are nothing compared to the pain. I'm in the bay area, if anyone has ANY ideas? I don't want to go get street drugs. I just want a dr. who isn't afraid to treat me. Willing to give U/A's whenever.

Mike, could I get the name of your clinic? have been through a lot of the same BS you have. I was at 4 x 40mg Opana ER and 3 x 10mg Opana IR and lost my pain Dr. When these new laws came in everything got crazy. But anyways, I had to go down on my meds cause of what is allowed now, but I keep going through same thing. I can't get enough medicine to last. Can you give me the name of a good pain clinic? I live in the tri cities area ... (jc, kpt, bristol) and I need to find a clinic that won't treat you like a drug abuser. After you have been to 4 clinics, that's they way it is no matter what the reason.

Mike- I went to one in Nashville that didn't really help & PMG wouldn't prescribe me anything without seeing a psychiatrist first because of my depression & my PCP stopped prescribing anything except my blood pressure meds. I'm near Nashville TN & would like to know where you go? I am also looking for a new PCP - I'm only taking Lyrica 200mg 2x's a day & Norco 10-325 4x's a day. I don't need it upped just not to be looked at like an addict when I get pain meds.

I pray everyone in this thread is doing alright now. I am reading this much later than posted. I hope you are still in a good pain management clinic Mike. I am in chronic pain but I cannot imagine being in your situation. Things are so messed up now with pain management way more than when this was originally posted. We thought it was bad back then wow it sucks now. I am in the same area. I live in Clarksville and wouldn't touch a pain clinic here in town. I started going to a clinic in Antioch called the pain management group and now I go to their Hendersonville clinic.

They used to treat me very well until the big scare of opiates. I was on oxymorphone er and oxycodone for break through. I went in one day and they took away the oxymorphone completely saying people with my condition (chronic pancreatitis) do not qualify for extended release medication. Actually they said if I was a new patient they would not accept me because I can't be helped with epidurals and other procedures. Since I have been with them for a while they are doing me the great honor of keeping me as a patient but reducing even my oxycodone to bare minimum for the crime of having the wrong pain disorder. It was like overnight kind doctors turned into uncaring doctors because of a crisis that has nothing to do with pain patients. My pain doesn't change because others are overdosing on street drugs. I feel so bad for everyone affected by the tainted heroin with fentanyl, but I still need help. Anyways just checking in on the people writing here and venting a bit.
