Pain And Desperate..

So I had moved from Wisconsin and moved to Washington state....not a nice state at all!
I've had nothing but problems since I got here....
No doctor here wants to take care of me for my medical reasons that I was getting in Wisconsin.
Narcotics in Washington I guess is on lock down for narcotics but dont take it out on those whom do need there pain meds.
I have gone threw about everything of looking for a doctor here but no luck if anyone please I could use new information on the help.

Where in Washington are you located?

We actually have excellent doctors here and I found them more than willing to treat my pain, when I was miserable. I've had them talking me into using something for pain, when I didn't want to do so. Their first goal was to make me comfortable and get to the root of the problem.

Another question, how are you going about seeking the help you need? You can't just walk in to a new doctor and tell you them you need certain medications prescribed, because that is seen a drug seeking behavior.

What you really need to do is make sure they get a copy of your full medical records and let the information noted from your prior doctors speak for itself.

Most of the hospitals here also have excellent social workers who can help you find a doctor that will treat you.

Can you post back with, at least, your general location? Then I can do some more research for you.

Im in crap Lakewood(military area).
I've done all things gone to UW of Washington, My primary that hasnt got back with me about my nerve block....Another dr recieved my medical records and said he couldnt help. Now Im turning to medical maryjane something I really dont want, doesnt have the strength of my 15mgoxycod. twice a day, so It wasnt like Im abusing them....

Korena, I'd suggest contacting the social work department at your local hospital. They are very good here about helping someone find the assistance they need and should be able to refer you to other doctors that may be able to help.

If your primary isn't responding, then you really need to see someone else.

So I contact a social worker at the hospital and got no luck! Of all things we got disconnected and when I called back, got answering machine and she hadnt call me back.....
Im not getting any great help here in Washington!

i need to find a pain clinic here in Seattle,Wa, my current Dr. stop prescribing my monthly meds do to a crack down on all controlled substances, I

injured by back in 1997 on the job, I went through everything my doctor and L & I wanted me to do,well after 6 steroid epidurals nothing helped me, so the next step was surgery on my back L5-S1 was the disc that blew out, I did have a mylagram to find out just where the pain was centered,then my first surgery was a Laminectomy which did nothing for me but cause me more pain, then a second operation was done in 2000 a microdiscectomy (microdecompression) this did very little to help reduce the pain, so far the next 5 years i lived on and off pain meds,which helped me just make it through the day, but after awhile the doctors cut me off and said there was nothing more they could do and would not write out anymore (pain)meds for the fear of addiction might set in and make it worse,Well in 2008 i could not take the pain anymore, i went to see a back surgeon here in Auburn,Wa. named Dr. Virgil Becker, he had me take another MRI (my 7th or 8th) the results came back and he pointed out to me these white colored and told me that scar tissue was building up and around the L5-S1 disc from the former surgeries and the only way to at least to reduce the pain was to have a spinal fusion, Dr. Becker was going to get L & I to reopen my case and get this done, but in August of 2008 Dr.Becker was killed in a plane accident and this put me in a tail spin with no where to go for help but to find a Dr. who would help me out,well i found one and he help me out with the (pain) meds up until October 2011, that's when he told the feds,the DEA, were cracking down who gets (pain) meds, I have never abused,misused,etc,etc any of my medications, but now it seems i will have to rely on friends or people on the streets, I do not look forward to this and know it's ilegal but i have nowhere to turn to, anything at this point would help,Also a lot pain clinics are not taking new patient at this time, so i am hope that you may help me in some way....Thanks...Mike
