Pain Med Withdrawal

I have been on pain meds for over 2 years now and 4 days ago I quit cold turkey. How long will the hell of withdrawal continue?

Hello, Misfit! How are you feeling?

It can really vary depending on what you were taking and how high your dosage was, but the worst of it shouldn't last longer than a week or two.

If they get very severe, then you should seek medical attention.

taking oxycodone 5mg tabs and taking only 3 a day for at least 2 years straight. dont think that is a lot, but it has been hell since i stopped.
