I WANT TO KNOW HOW CAN A PAIN CLINIC WHERE I AND OTHERS HAD CONTRACTS JUST DROP US AS PATIENTS OVER NIGHT WITH A 30 DAY FILL AND NO SUPPORT. IT TAKES TIME TO GET IN PAIN MANAGEMENT. YOU NEED REFERRAL, RECORDS, ETC. IN THE MEAN TIME I AM OUT OF PAIN MEDS SOON AND MY PRIMARY SAYS SHE IS LIMITED IN ABILITY BUT NOS THE SITUATION BUT IS NOT EVEN WILLING TO FILL ALL MY MEDS UNTIL I GET IN SOMEWHERE ELSE. HOW CAN I FIND SOMEONE IN PORTLAND, OR AREA OR VANCOUVER THAT CAN GET ME IN FAST AND WILL PRESCRIBE OPIATE PAIN MEDS? I AM GETTING READY TO HAVE A COLOSTOMY AND WONT DO IT WITHOUT PAIN MANG. ON BOARD. FROM PAST EXPERIENCE MOST DOCS WONT UP OR KNOW HOW TO TREAT PAIN MANG. PATIENTS AND WONT GIVE ADDITIONAL MED AFTER SURGERY, LEAVING US TO SUFFER MORE AND MORE RISKS. SORRY THERE ARE SOME THAT SEEK DRUGS OR DR SHOP BUT NOW A DAYS THERE ARE NOT THAT MANY FOR IF A DR DOES THEIR JOB THEY WILL KNOW YOU HAVE INSURANCE THEY CAN MONITOR. SO I DONT BELIEVE EVEN IF A DOC OFTEN FEELS THIS HAS HAPPENED IS A REASON TO TREAT ALL LIKE THEY ARE SEEKING DRUGS. I DONT EVEN FEEL HIGH ON THE MEDS I AM ON. THEY JUST HELP ME TO LIFE A MORE COMFORTABLE LIFE. AND KEEP ME IN A POSITIVE OUTLOOK. CHRONIC PAIN ROBS YOUR LIFE, MAKES YOU FEEL SELFISH, UNPRODUCTIVE WITHOUT PAIN CONTROL. WHY IS NO ONE DOING ANYTHING TO HELP US? IF THERE IS SOME ATTORNEY OR LAW OR PLACE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TO VOICE MY OPINION. I DONT WANT TO LIVE AND PLAN NOT TO IF I CANNOT GET HELP SOON. GRANDMA PAT

Re: James (# 3)

James (# 4) I'm sorry that you are feeling such pain! I hope that you find the reason to go on. All of us have a purpose. Regardless of what those who believe they are superior are doing to chonic pain patients they're simply power hungry humans and not immune to accidents.
God bless and keep you!
