Oxycontin And Percocets Showing Negative In Urine Analysis

I Have Been On Oxycontin For Over Ten Years Take 3 Twenty Mg Tabs A Day Also 30 10mg Percocets at night. My Doctor Gave Me Ua And I came up negative for opiates. These are Op oxycontins, was wondering why or how I could come up negative. My Dr. took pills away but After Assuring Her There Had To Be Mistake She Represcribed them. Im Just Worried About Any Other Possible Scenarios Of The Same Results Does Anybody Know why these pills dont show any opiates.

Have there been any changes in your diet or lifestyle recently?

There are many things that could affect whether or not they'd be detectable, such as a huge increase in exercise, an increase in your fluid intake, being sick and vomiting, or having diarrhea and etc.

Additionally, you may want to ask her was it an actual negative, or were your detectable levels too low, so it was treated just like a negative.

I had the flu which lasted a couple days long and occurred 3 days before my doctors appointment that required a UA to get my prescriptions. Well I came up negative for my pain medicine and the doctor knew I had the stomach flu (noro virus), he prescribed me the damn nausea medication. But he was very displeased that I didn't show positive for my pain prescription but did show positive for my other non narcotic medications. I mean damn I was throwing up I couldn't take them, I couldn't even eat. So he said he was sending to the lab and I haven't heard anything at all. I guess maybe he will give me a UA when I come to pick up remaining prescriptions since he refused to give me more than my month until lab results came back. Well okay over 2 weeks now wtf? You think he would've called me if he was dropping me? Or if everything was okay I figured he would've called as well so I really don't know what to think. Very confused. Anybody have this happen to them?

I wrote asking about what are some possibilities why a u/a would come back negative for Dilaudid and Percocets and I mentioned that I may have a high metabolism because I could not gain weight even when laying in bed and eating healthy. I had wrote that i had a major back surgery 2 mo. ago and because I came up negative the last 2 times I had to have blood work. The one thing I forgot to mention is, I have a stomach disease called Barretts esophagus and I am on 40mg of pepsid and 30mg of Prevacid...I cannot eat or drink anything that is gonna cause my stomach to produce too much acid. I also take Gaviscon in case i do feel any kind of acid in my stomach. SO with these other meds that i take other than my pain meds, can that have an impact on my u/a's coming back negative? Which before my back surgery I was still on the same pain meds and my results came up positive. I'm afraid that if my pain dr. and me cannot figure out this problem and whats causing it I'm afraid that I will be let go from pain management even tho this is all thru workers comp, but also too because of the FDA being so strict on these pain Drs that mine wont have a choice but to let me go because of the negative results and like I told my Dr. I am in too much pain not to take my pain meds and with my reputation and occupation as a Police Officer I have no reason to be dishonest. So could my stomach meds and stomach disease be a key factor in this situation along with drinking a lot of water and cranberry juice? Thank You for your answers and help...

Bob, if you're taking 30 10mg percs at night, you have a serious addiction problem dude, your doctor was right to take your meds away, along with 60 mg of oxycontin, that's enough to put a horse down, and 30 10mg of percs a night is enough to shut your liver down. You need some serious help and pain management through other means before you keel over from an o.d. Pretty stupid on your part to think that much drugs is normal. I've been on both and there's a point in time where they do more damage then help with pain management, your doctor should have their license taken away for allowing you to take 30 10mg percs a day.
