Oxycodone Vs Hydrocodone Question No One Ever Answers

Updated

Meaning I cannot get an answer to this after much research over the years here and there. It’s always the same questions, what’s better, what’s more powerful (which is Oxy of course) or what is the difference between the two.

My question is this. Does Hydro hit DIFFERENT receptors then Oxy and vice versa? If Oxy is more powerful, then “assuming” it fills receptors that Hydro does not??

So would taking an Percocet AND a Norco at once not be perfect, to say hitting ALL the receptors?

Thanks :)

Opiate receptors are opiate receptors, so they all work on the same ones, if you read up on the NIH research, some opiates are stronger than others, and some work better for some people than they do for other people. So, while they are sometimes combined to help get control of severe pain, they do all work similarly and on the same receptors. That's why people can go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, if they take Suboxone, while others are still working on their receptors, it takes a stronger hold on them, and tosses the others out, so they no longer have any effect, that's also why taking other opiates while on Suboxone, or Subutex has no effect and is just a waste of time and medications.

The FDA Warns that this class of medications carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Are there any other questions I can help with?

See that confuses me. So you’re saying it’s not just filling of the opiate receptor itself that matters, but that they all stimulate the receptors in different ways, and that’s the difference?
