Oxycodone U23

My Pharmacy just gave me the blue pill with the U23 on it and so far it seems to be working the same if not somewhat better than the smaller blue pills that I had prior. Seems lately that whatever type of Oxycodone I take is having an adverse effect on me and making me very tired after a few hours. I never had that problem before.

I believe the U23 are manufactured by Aurobindo. I've had that manufacturer in percocet form and it wasn't the worst. It's acceptable and works for the pain but has more side effects than it should.

It seems like all of the generics as of late are really lacking in efficacy. I recently got some Qualitest 10/325 percocet from CVS (had to ask for them otherwise they would have given me Rhodes). Qualitest got bought out by Endo who then got bought out by Major or Pars. Something like that... I think.

Anyway, the grade of oxycodone manufactured by Qualitest/Pars seems to be one of the better generics out there IMO. Aurobindo is not terrible. I will not accept anything manufactured by Rhodes or Amneal. I haven't tried the Alvogen or Camber but the reviews for them are terrible. Actavis seems to get different reviews... some say it works, others say it doesn't. I've never tried them either.

One thing is for sure there is definitely something going on with these generic opioids. None of them are what they used to be.

The tablet with the U23 marking is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and contains 15mgs of Oxycodone.

Dizziness, and drowsiness are normal side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Usually with oxycodone after taking it I am mediately get a feeling of not being tired and being very alert. But the last few weeks on certain days it makes me very tired. Do I cut back for some time so the pills work better. I will also take the fentanyl patch so it won't go through so much withdrawal however I'm in a lot of pain and don't like to cut back if I don't have to. Thank you
