Oxycodone Pain Doctors In Nj

Updated

I'm having a hard time finding a doctor that will prescribe oxycodone 30mg in New Jersey. I have already had 2 back surgeries as well as numerous IV's and still with no relief. I have degenerative disc disease, 3 herniated discs and one completely gone. I'm in constant pain and nothing helps. I was seeing a doctor that was prescribing 90-180 oxycodone 30mg for almost a year until one day he up and closed his practice with no notice. I have always taken my medication AS PRESCRIBED but still no doctor will prescribe anything stronger then 800mg Motrin or just want me to have more surgery. I'm 33 years old with 2 young children and not interested in having more surgeries. I just want to live as normal a life as possible.

Unfortunately, if you're not going to explore the options the doctors offer to you, including possible surgery, then they just aren't going to be willing to treat you. They are forced to assume that you're just drug seeking.

Im not accusing you of doing that, I am just explaining what's going on.

They will also think that if you're trying to insist that they give you a specific medication, in a specific dosage. It's really best to let your medical records speak for you.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I have already had 2 back surgeries that didn't work which is why I'm not thrilled to have anymore. I just recently found a doctor that prescribed the Fentanyl Patch 12mcg but even that doesn't seem to be working. I've never used it before or know anyone that has used it so I did some internet research and Fentanyl is supposed to be the strongest pain reliever on the market. I've only been on it for 2.5 days and I'm trying to have patience with it but I don't know what's going on....maybe I'm just a screwed up case.

If anyone has any info/advice for me with this new medication I would definitely appreciate it.

Have you researched kratom? It is all natural and works better on my pain than oxy most of the time. I am a failed back syndrome also. I discovered kratom about 2 years ago. I had lost my insurance as was forced into withdrawal off of high doses of morphine ER and oxycodone for breakthrough....I ordered some capsules and they worked... but NOTHING like the Kratom I get now, just powder, no capsule..pain relief, mood elevator, and gives me energy. It truly changed my future living with pain that will never go away. Feel free to write me back for more info.

There is a great doctor in Marlton NJ named Dr. Ressler. He will write u pretty much what u want as long as there is serious problems with pain. I had 6 surgeries in 4 years and he was very sympathetic to my situation. For the young guy who does not want to have back surgery I would suggest Not to do it. I had major back surgery a year ago and the recovery was horrific. 12 weeks of severe pain and back spasms. Could not even get up to go to the bathroom without my husban's help. I saw dr. Ressler at South Jersey Pain Consultants in Marlton N.J. He not only gave me 15mg Oxycodone 4 x day also gave me 15 mg Opana's which really helped with the pain and he even kept trying to give me Valium when I already told him that I take xanax. I unfortunately had to stop seeing him for giving a dirty u/a. Totally my fault and very stupid of me. I had it made with him. They do not tolerate dirty u/a's but he is a very nice doctor and will help u with your back pain.

@ELLE, i know ur post is from a while ago but im hoping u still check this site. I have recently learned of Kratom and hear good things about it! I too have been on strong narcotics for years to control my pain, went off them 8 months ago. I'm in daily debilitating discomfort & as everyone knows it's extremely difficult to find a pm dr who u understands & helps. I have bought Kratom caps from a local headshop and as u can image they were a complete waste of my $. I hear buying strait powder is key but I don't know of trustworthy site to order from. If u could point me to a honest real site that'd be great! Hope Kratom is still working well for u - take care.

Hi Tara,

As someone who's taken Kratom from numerous vendors for about a year now, I find the following retailers products to be very good quality:

1). Kwik Botanicals (note: you have to make account on their site first in order to view their kratom inventory)

2). KratomOne (based in Santa Barbara, Ca)

My personal favorite is Maeng Da Green from Kwik Botanicals, but also find the Tri-Force blend by KratomOne to be very effective. In my experience, both are great pain relievers and are simultaneously relaxing and energetic (depending on the dose). I take 1 teaspoon of Maeng Da but the Tri-Force has a higher threshold dose at around 1 tablespoon; whereas the effects last roughly 4-8 hours.

It's really interesting how a plant in the coffee family has such profound effects! I agree though that the quality of kratom from headshops is very poor in comparison to what can be found on the internet.

David,

Thanks so much for replying to my post. I went on the KWIK site and created an acct but when i type in search nothing comes up. And all the tea they have is marked sold out! I typed Maeng Da Green & Kratom, got zilch results..... weird. Gonna read up some more on the other site too. Hopefully i'll find what i need. I'll let u know what i come up with.

Again thanks so much.

If you want to try Kratom I would recommend using kratomone. I order the tri-force and It helps a great deal! Not only will it help if you are going through withdrawals but it helps a great deal with pain management as well. They are great to deal with and usually you will receive your shipment within one to two days for no extra cost!

Hello everyone, i know this is an older thread but i figured I'd give it another shot & hope someone replies back.

I have been on pain mangt meds for 10 years. My last pm dr of 3 years quit his practice or "something" so I weaned off my opiate meds. It's been 8 months and i'm miserable with pain and having a very hard time finding new pm dr. I live in the Stroudsburg area but have no prob driving to north jersey for a good compassionate Dr. My last pm dr was in nj. If anyone could recommend someone i would be very grateful. I do know of a really good NJ pm dr, 4 ppl i know well are already seeing this Dr., the only issue is u have to have a nj address for him to take on a new patient, which i do not. If anyone is willing to trade info plz reply; we can be discreet with the doctor's info too.
Thanks a bunch & be well.

Hi Tara,

Hope all is well with you!

I just wanted to add (in response to post #8) that once you make an account on Kwik Botanicals, you'd then have to login with that account (via running a search on google for "kwik botanicals login" as they do not have a link on their site to the login page - probably for some security reasons)...

Once you are logged in, you then hover the mouse over the tab that says "OTHER PRODUCTS" and click on the word "MITRA" which is short for its botanical name mitragyna speciosa.

From there, everything should be pretty straight forward. :)

I hope this helps!

@Tara (Re: post #11),

9 grams seems like a LOT to take at once (UNLESS you have a high tolerance to it) otherwise it may cause a drowsy or loopy feeling for a few hours...

Personally, I take a level teaspoon (which is in the ballpark of 2 grams) for Bali and Maeng Da strains...and 1 tablespoon (6 grams -ish for KratomOne's Tri Force blend - which has a higher threshold dose) But I have heard of people taking as much as you due to their tolerance and frequent use...

From my research and personal experience, the smaller doses tend to be more stimulating and larger doses tend to be more sedating...

I hope it works out well for you! I'd definitely encourage you to try a number of different strains in order to determine what helps the best, but I don't think you can go wrong with Bali (red), Maeng Da (green), or the Tri-Force blend when taken at the right doses...

It appears that high dose long term pain pill therapy is a thing of the past. Production of the highly abused drugs has been slashed by federal action.
A replacement drug, suboxone is now the it drug of the opiod era. Accessibility to these services has expanded. Treatment is available.
