There is a pale yellow one with the logo of Alvogen Pharmaceuticals that resembles a Chinese V and the number 230 on the opposite side.

It contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Oxycodone.

Learn more Percocet details here.

Does that match the pill you're questioning?

Why is it that the oxycodone 10\325 pill with the 230 marking on one side and a V on the other does not work as well as other oxycodone 10\325? I have had to take oxycodone off and on for several years a nd when I filled my last script I got the oxycodone 10\325 with the 230 markings and I thought my drug store had made a mistake and gave me the wrong medication cause it didn't help with the pain. Is there a difference?

There is no *real* difference, however I have gotten every kind of 10 mg percocet there is over the last 6 years of pain management and these are also by far the weakest I have tried. My beliefs why this is so, are due to a couple facts.
1) it is a "semi-new" generic percocet, so they haven't perfected there formula with the right inactive ingrediants, and binders/fillers.
2) generics are allowed to have (I believe) up to a 5% difference in pure oxycodone in their pills compared to brand names. So a 10mg could actually be a 7.5
3) could be a placebo effect also. Your body gets used to a certain brand and takes awhile to adjust even if it's a mental thing

My suggestions, (derived from experience) are this-
1) take a hot shower for about 20 mins before taking it. The heat Makes your blood circulate faster and will hit harder for more pain relief and also euphoria ( you are forewarned lol)
2) take it with sweat tea, specifically red diamond. (might just be me, but tea always enhances opiate derived pain medicine.)
3) break it in half so it dissolves faster
4) never ever snort it. Taking it orally allows much more absorption rate and also lasts a hell of alot longer.
5) ask your doctor to write specifically for a different generic. Sometimes if your doc doesn't put a specific brand you can even ask the pharmacy and they will help you out.
6) take on an empty stomach (unless you have no tolerance and get sick doing it this way)

Well, long answer, but hope it helps. Lol. all tht was derived from my own experimentation and knowledge and experience.
Best solution, which I also did after 3 months of getting this generic, was to ask my doc to switch brands and I have found the yellow "football" shape 10/325 ones to be extraordinarily better than most other brands. Same with the 512's for the five mg tabs.
