Pill has imprint "ora" on one side, there may have been room for another letter on each side. No imprint on other side, not a trace. What is this pill!? ## Hello, Sky! How are you? I can't be completely certain, since it's an older tablet, but it might be an early version of Orapred. It's a brand name for the steroid Prednisolone, which is now manufactured by Alliant Pharnaceuticals. They still use the ORA on one side, but have the dosage listed on the other. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, weight gain and fluid retention. It is commonly used to treat allergic reactions, swelling and immune disorders. Can anyone confirm this?

I have been told the long term side effects are not good. My son has been prescribed this by his doctor for asthma relasted illness. Is this true? ## For anyone else looking for information, this contains the active ingredient Prednisolone, which is a steroid class medication and yes, long-term use can cause some problematic side effects, such as fluid retention, weight gain and compromised immunity. Learn more Prednisolone details here. Is there anything else I can help with?
