There is no quick or immediate release of Adderall or its generics. There are only regular release and the time released.

This tablet is regular release 30mg.

On brand and generic Adderall for some time, I find significant differences. Some make me edgy, some make me sleepy, some work as they should. Different pills are dispensed depending on what is available at the time. Question: Why does Teva's imprint on 30 mg generics change from one pill to the next? The last Rx I got was a combination of two different imprints. Both were football shaped peach colored tabs and all said b 974 on one side and 30 on the other. However on some of them the size of the numbers and letters was smaller. Also, the 30 was inverted on these (upside down). What reason for this I wonder? Also I did not know the active ingredient in generic could be + or - 20% different from the brand. I am 71 years old and take this med for clinical reasons. Recently, my blood work has shown odd results and I am at a loss as to why. Please discuss these concerns.

I have taken the orange oval shaped 30 mg tablets, "b 974 30 mg" for 15 years and they seem to work much better for me than the round pink ones. Not sure of the manufacturer but my bottle says barr. I noticed in your post it list Teva as the mfg of the orange oval tablets "b 974 on one side and 30 on the other. My question...is barr and Teva the same? I have also been given a round light peach color pill from my pharmacy recently that I do not like at all. It does nothing but makes me angry! For us long term adderall prescribed patients we "know" the difference in these medication types and maybe it's because I've taken the footballs for so long, they just work best for me but they are extremely hard to find anymore. Also reading your post I see that some make you sleep, and I have just realized after all these years that Adderall is a focus drug of course and whatever you are doing when you take it, you will do it 110%...whether it's sleeping, working, playing a video game...that's what you will do all day. I realized this when I too, took one in the am and was planning on working but I remained on my couch after taking it and fell asleep, best sleep I think Ive ever had! thats when I realized...I was laying down resting when i took it. Usually i take it, and head to work. I also have learned that even though I am prescribed 90 mg a day, some days I don't need 90 mg a day. If I take too much, I overthink the process I am focusing on and I get nothing accomplished. Sounds crazy but true. Some days I only need 60 mgs.

Extended release are capsules with beads in them, usually last all day. Tablets which are the b 974 begin working on contact and last for about 4 to 5 hours. I like the tablets because I can control the dispensing of the dose depending on what my day is scheduled.

Hello. I have taken 20 mgs of generic Adderall and it kept me up. Today I took 30 mgs of a pill imprinted with B 974 on it and it didn't even affect me & I took 2 doses like 3 hours apart. Why isn't working?

Same exact thing for me! Was taking 20mg same pill just different mg but now they switched to 30mg same football ones an they dont do anything for me besides make me angry and annoyed..
