What would recommend for treating a burn caused by Debacterol? I applied Debacterol and rinsed it off after an hour, then my lip got swollen and hard. The next day it looked red and burnt. What would be a good medicine for treating this? ## If I understand your statement correctly, you were using Debacterol for a burn, and after you rinsed it off it caused your lip to swell up? As far as swelling/inflammation and redness goes, I would highly recommend trying Lavender Essential Oil. It's supposedly one of the best & most cost effective natural treatments for things of this 'nature', no pun intended Lol. You can google "Lavender Oil Inflammation" for more specific details on its uses. I hope this helps!

Is Stanford Mouthwash recommended for the treatment of oral thrush when they are allergic to Tetracyclene? The thrush is a result of 1 week of broad spectrum antibiotic use for sepsis. What is the best remedy for this? ## Tetracycline wouldn't be effective at treating thrush, since it another antibiotic, it could cause it just like the other, or make it worse. And as to the Stanford Mouthwash, I am afraid that I can't really say, without knowing the exact ingredients. These products are regional and usually contain a blend of ingredients, the pharmacy knows what to put in it, when your doctor orders it, but there is no set ingredient list. The best remedy for oral thrush is an antifungal medication. What has your doctor recommended? ## The reason I posted (for my daughter) is th...

I usded to use a lotion called SARNA which contained Camphor 0.5%, Menthol 0.5% and Phenol 0.5%. I understand this was taken off the market because Phenol was not considered a good product to be included in a lotion. Can anyone suggest another produce similar as SARNA really helped my issue. It was originally prescribed by a skin specialist.

my doctor gave me a prescription for miracle mouthwash, when I went to have it filled, it was almost $200.00 is this the usual price for this and does it really stop a chronic severe cough? ## Unfortunately, this is a regional product, not an actual regular prescription medication. These consist of a combination of certain medications that doctors in your area have found to help with certain conditions and local pharmacist know what they want put in them. However, that means that we have no information on what it contains, what it will help with and the pricing. Have you tried talking to your doctor or pharmacist about it? ## Yes. I talked to both, Doctor was astonished at the price of it. shows you that doctors have very little idea of the cost of medication they are writing prescripti...

Ok I don't drink green/black/white tea anymore because of the high amount of fluoride it can absorb... I'm out of coffe too because it's too rough on my stomach... I started drinking Guayaki Yerba Mate a little while ago , but there's not a lot of research made on the concentration of fluor in Yerba Mate. So I decided to send an email to the company itself and they told me that there is a concentration of .032mg of fluor by tea bag of 3 grams... I know that tap watter is being fluoridated at about .5 to .1 mg/liters... Does someone know if .032mg by 3grams tea bag is negligible, I drink 3 to 6 cups a day. tanks Alex

I'm a vegetarian and need to take Peridex. Are there any animal ingredients in this product? Thank you. ## Not being a vegetarian, I don't know what is or isn't an animal product, but other than the active ingredient Chlorhexidine, here is the inactive ingredient list: Water, 11.6% alcohol, glycerin, PEG-40 sorbitan diisostearate, flavor, sodium saccharin, and FD&C Blue No. 1.

Do you sallow after swishing? ## I don't know exactly what's in this, because most of them are regional products and the ingredients are specific to the doctors and pharmacists of that area, however, no, they aren't usually swallowed. They are just swished in the mouth as directed and then spit out. Are there any other comments or questions?

salivary gland destroyed as a result of radiation and chemo therapy. How does one replace inability to produce saliva. Was told there is something called miracle mouthwash which may help. Not sure if it is a prescription or over the counter mouthwash. Any other suggestions as to how to replace saliva is needed. ## I know that there are artificial saliva products available just for such cases. They are also used by people who were in accidents that resulted in damage to the salivary glands. Some are available as a spray and some as drops. Your doctor should be able to prescribe it for you and most pharmacies carry it. The Miracle Mouthwash is a regional item, meaning that the name and ingredients can vary depending on where you live. It is another thing your doctor would have to prescrib...

The Deasmethason is a steroid, which will help reduce the pain and inflammation, the Tetracycline is an antibitoc that will help get rid of any bacteria that may be causing the ulcers and prevent them from getting infected. Has your doctor prescribed this for you?
