Can a benzodiazepene come up in your urine if you have taken Ondansetron and Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim? I'm in a half way house and was dropped due to a failed lab result, but I have used absolutely no drugs. ## Hello, Cc! How are you? I'm sorry about what happened to you. Yes, the Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim has been known to cause that, as researched and published by MEDTOX Journal, whom operates a SAMHSA certified laboratory that is FDA certified. You can find them listed under MEDTOX Scientific Inc. in St. Paul, MN, if you'd like to find more information on this. There are actually many medications that can cause such results for benzodiazepines, including some very common over the counter medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

Help please... ## Hello, Dianne! How are you? Yes, that is correct, they should not be taken together. Doing so can increase the QT interval of the heart rhythm, which could be very dangerous. It may also increase he levels of Ondansetron that is absorbed. It would be best for this person to see their doctor and replace one of these medications. The antibiotic may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, headache and diarrhea. How is your friend doing? ## I do not know the side effects of this tab. Can somebody please explain it in detail?
