Hi Tresha,

Ibuprofen is commonly used to treat fever and fever-like symptoms; however regarding its use for treating stomach aches, I would not recommend using it for that reason. It can be harsh on the stomach if you take the full dose for a few days, but that varies on a case by case basis. Also lies the risk of possible stomach ulcers by going that route, which may complicate things even more.

Personally I would take something else to help ease the stomach discomfort or aches, such as peppermint essential oil. This oil can work wonders for stomach and digestive problems. Definitely do some research on it if you are considering getting some so you know how much and where to apply it for best results. Most health food stores carry it for a bargain price. Aside from that there's always the yucky Pepto Bismol to help with the stomach pain.

Other than that, I don't know enough about the reason why your stomach is hurting so I cannot suggest anything else at the moment. Hope the above info helps!
