Oxaprozin And Colitis Symptoms As A Side Effect?

I was prescribed Oxaprozin for pain but am afraid it will give me colitis symptoms. I can't take Sulfa drugs or most NSAIDs or a variety of antiobiotics either due to this. When I am really sick with an infection, I usually just have to ride it out. Do you think it's worth a try or would you say that this is a major side effect and people with sensitive digestive systems probably will have trouble with it. I especially have trouble with generic tablets that are solt-milled and have no hard coating or aren't capsules. Thanks in advance!

Oxaprozin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so there is a chance that it may cause you the same issues.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding.

As to not taking anything for an infection, that can be very dangerous, severe infections can be life threatening.
