i wuold lik to know the side efects of this drug .does it cases ED or dimishes libido ## Yes, it can. One of its mechanisms of action is relaxing the smooth muscles of the body, so it can cause impotence. Other common side effects include: peripheral edema, dizziness, nausea and palpitations.

I am curious how Ca blockers work on the cellular level. ## What are the side effects regarding Norvasc? I cannot seem to find and info on this drug. Before I start taking it I would like to know the side effects. I am a 77 year old gentleman. I am currently taking 20 mg of Fosinopril, 4mg of coumadin, 40 mg of simvastatin, and 20 mg of omeprazole ## Hello Russ, Well, I am a retired nurse and have done a lot of research on the medications I take plus knowing about many due to having been a nurse. I will telll you to watch for swelling of your ankles and feet, It can also make you tired and ligjhtheaded so when getting up sit for a minute or two to avoid getting dizzy. I have yet to find anyone who hasn't been on Norvasc who didn't have swelling. Do drink plenty of water and watc...

Should I be using this drug while I am trying to get pregnant? ## My blood presure went soaring after I gave birth to my 4th child.The Dr. suggested I stopped breastfeeding to start taking Norvasc .So I would probably talk with your doctor because if they recommened me to stop breastfeeding then it probably isnt good for pregnancy.

what are the side effects to this drug ? ## I was taking 5mg twice @ day, but because of low blood pressure my dr, reduced it to one @ day. I am getting dizzyness and upset stomach and wondered if I am getting enough blood going to my head, I have three stents for blocked arteries to the heart, which is the reason for being on Norvasc ## Please see the full listing for <a href= Thank You
