Normaxin contains 5mgs of Chlordiazepoxide, 2.5mgs of Clidinium and 10mgs of Dicyclomine, it is used as an antispasmodic and is sometimes given to help with the pain and discomfort caused by intestinal spasms.

https://www.medschat.com/wiki/Clidinium/

https://www.medschat.com/wiki/Dicyclomine/

Happi contains the active ingredient Rabeprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach.

https://www.medschat.com/wiki/Rabeprazole/

Both of these can cause gas as a side effect and regardless of what you are taking, your intestines do still have to work, so you will get some noises and bubbles from them, especially if you are eating any foods that can cause gas or are hard to digest, such as ones that are very high in fiber.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Bhanu, what did your doctor say was causing the problem? Did they give you a diagnosis?

If know that, I'll have some better ideas on what foods you should stay away from and what might help.

As to the natural remedies, they may help, the only real way to know is to try them and see. They are not actually tested and proven, the way prescription drugs are, but some people do get very good results from them.

If you are having stomach pain and gas, then as I said, you should probably stay away from anything that causes excess gas, such as foods that are very high in fiber. Beans and dark leafy vegetables are very bad for doing it.

If your problem is caused by excess stomach acid, you should stay away from any highly acidic substances, such as spicy foods and carbonated sodas.

Bhanu, it is normal for more acid to form in your stomach, when you are tense or stressed, everyone does that and there is no way to change it. Your stomach does have to produce some acid, in order for you to digest your food properly.

The same for the gas bubbles in your intestines, they still have to work and as they do so, they contract and will do this, it is perfectly normal.

The operative question here is are you having any kind of pain from it?

If you're not and are just observing these normal, routine things that your body does, there is nothing to worry about.

If you get heartburn, when you are tense or stressed, there are other things you can use to relieve that, which are available over the counter in most countries.

Calcium Carbonate chewable tablets, often sold under the brand name Tums, are available:

As well as products like Pepcid, which contains Famotidine:

I've been diagnosed with having multiple sigmoid diverticulitis and the doctor told me to have 2 tablets of normaxin and biflac daily. following the doctor's advise , I continued the treatment for more than 1 year but now , worrying about the side effects I 've started taking only 1 tablet of Normaxin only once a day along with curd (3 times a day for probiotics source ) on my own. Also I dont eat any seeds like Jeera, mustard seeds, raw tomatoes ,cucumber etc. Am I on the right track? I hate eating too many medicines ,particularly capsules since they tend to get stuck in my throat I 've to visit the toilet many times. That was the case earlier also when I was eating 2 Normaxins daily.

I have been diagnosed with irregular bowel syndrome last year. I was prescribed with Normaxin twice daily for one month. Occasionally the above problem persists. I've been taking Normaxin for a couple of months. Can you please tell me if there are any side effects if I
take it regularly? These tablets helps me a great deal to pass the wind and stool with full satisfaction.
