Norco And Insomnia

My mother was taking this medication after surgery yesterday and has not slept at all. Could this be contributing?

While this medication usually causes dizziness, and drowsiness as side effects, according to FDA reports, there are some rare occasions where it has been known to cause the opposite. It can energize some people and cause insomnia.

If it persists, she should consult her doctor about trying something else. Is she on any other medications, or just this one? What type of surgery did was done?
