Norco Shortage In Michigan (Page 18)

Is anyone else having problems finding a pharmacy to fill their scripts of Norco? I have been taking them for a few years now for my chronic pain. I always go to the same pharmacy chain, and its always the same doctor who writes my scripts, but since the new law change no one seems to have them in stock. Some pharmacists told me it was a manufacturer back order. We are told not to go without our meds, but yet how is that possible if we can't get them? Anyone knows of a pharmacy that has Norco 10/325 in the metro Detroit area?

I live in flint area and the same here, but what really annoys me is how ism treated when I try to get them filled. The treat me like I am a common criminal or a low life, I do know and was told the pharmacy can pick and choose who they will fill them for and who they won't. I have to believe that there is something unlawful about that, I know for a fact that pharmacy have them some of the time and refuse you because you haven't had anything filled there before. It's is frustrating and painful!!!!!

TO KEN in Northern Michigan: I also see Dr. Guisseppe Paese, but in Warren, and have for 3 years. Compassionate and caring and very very good at what he does when comes to pain! I have had injections in several parts of my lower back as well as 2 nerve ablations. No pain, before, during or after. I also have the pleasure of seeing one of his PA every other month and have nothing but good to say about all of them. All of my scripts are filled at Walgreens located at 13 mile and Ryan, never any questions, strange looks nothing but "Hi how can I help you today and these will be ready for you in about 3 hours". As I read everyone's horror and I mean horror stories I realize how lucky I am to only have DDD, Stenosis and sever nerve pain. With Norco 10/325, Gabapentin and some Motrin I can swim, walk and get around reasonably. The main complaint I have about meds is the gabapentin makes me very tired. Wishing everyone good luck getting your pain under control and scripts filled.

I have a hypothesis regarding Schedule II medications (narcotics). The scumbags who have abused, physicians who have run PILL MILLS and irresponsibly prescribed to patients who should be sent to pain clinics, and scumbags who fill their "scripts" and sell the drugs on the streets have helped create a crisis that has required the DEA to intervene. If this is an effort to get these drugs OFF OUR STREETS and OUT of the mouths of ABUSERS I support it.. I recently had a total reverse shoulder replacement at 57 years old after shattering my shoulder. I have been informed the following by Meijers pharmacy that the DEA has begun to allow pharmacies a certain amount of these narcotics for a month and if pharmacy fills scripts for the amount they have been designated for they will not be able to reorder the drugs to provide to patients until the following month. I was informed on Feb 12, 2016 by a Meijers pharmacy that they will not receive another shipment from manufacturer until March. I have pain and am in physical therapy but I will continue my recovery DESPITE having to suffer through it. I personally support what the DEA has begun to prevent the addiction and street pushing of these very dangerous medications. I applaud this effort whole heartedly. We have enough issues with abuse of drugs in the US. It is time that any effort is made to reduce and eliminate this abuse for the sake of our children who live in a society deluged with drugs and crime.

I don't have any problem filling my Norco...I get them filled at the same pharmacy every month. 120 per month....

Just curious how has your recovery been? I had an RTSA Dec 10th and have terrible pain. Hand is numb/shoulder and deltoid /bicep muscles hurt constantly. Pain has not stopped. I am so fed up and there are some days I just wish I would die and get it over with. Had a fall and shattered the shoulder.

Yeah me. Can't get the yellow one anywhere. All the white one are pitiful. They don't work at all. I'm living in chronic pain and will until I die. I'm not an addict and I take the meds because I have to to function only a little.

Not only the problem with not being able to get any yellow Norco, the FDA AND MY DOCTOR TOOK ME OFF SOMA which I've been taking since 1988 without even telling me it was being done. What can be done? Have these so-called experts ever heard of WITHDRAWAL!!! NOT DUE TO TAKING TOO MANY LIKE A DRUG ADDICT BUT BECAUSE I TRULY NEED THE TWO TO DEAL WITH THE PAIN THAT IS HERE UNTIL I DIE. THIS IS NOT LIVING, I'M HOMEBOUND AND I CAN'T TAKE THIS PAIN MUCH LONGER. IN FEAR OF LOSING MY MIND FROM IT ALL.

I’d like to add a new post about Norco. Allergan company owns Norco. They quit making it December 2020. Without any notice for their customers. And they blame Abbvie and leave all forward messages to that company! Then they say Allergan is responsible for Norco. All you people who get Norco, it’s junk generic that is cut 10 percent. Believe me. I've been texting and calling. Need to boycott Allergan and Abbvie.
