No Period After Stopping Medroxyprogesterone 10mg 1 Per Day

I took plan B on Jan 25 2015. On Jan 26 2015 my period came on and then again on Feb 6 2015. On Feb 16 2015 I went to the ER because I was having massive bleeding and thought I was having a miscarriage. I was given an imaging ultrasound and was told that I have a moderate size fibroid. I saw my OBGYN and was told that I have a fibroid the size of a quarter and she wouldn't show me the pics after I asked. She hasn't done a physical examination at all since I started seeing her. She just did blood work because I told her that Im always tired and she prescribed blood pressure meds. She also prescribe medroxyprogesterone 10mg 1 per day every day. My period completely stopped and on March 30 2015 I decided to stop taking it since my stomach is hard and forming like im pregnant. I have told my OBGYN but she just says its something else besides fibroids (but obviously doesn't want to find out what it is.) It's 04/21/2015 and my period still hasn't come on yet. My doctor also did a pregnancy diagnostic and it came back negative. My stomach is getting bigger and harder and looks like im pregnant and Im not getting periods. What could this be. Help please because my OBGYN is no help at all.

Hello, Love! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having.

To be quite honest, I think it's time for you to see a different doctor and get another opinion. If she's not being helpful, I doubt that's going to change and you really need to find out what's going on.

Do you have a PCP that you see regularly that might be able to refer you to someone else?

When a doctor isn't helping you, it's time to move on to one that will.

The irregular periods and heavier bleeding are typical side effects of Plan B, as listed by the FDA. It could also cause headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms.

Thank you for your reply. I changed OBGYNs and am going to look into having my fibroids removed. Hopefully my period will come on soon. I will keep you updated.
