Need New Doctor For My Fentora

Hi, I have ampl leukemia and been takeing fentora 400mg 5 times a day and works realy well for me.It is the only drug that keeps my pain under control.I need to change doctors realy bad.I waited in the waiting room for 4.5 hrs befor seeing the pa.I have had 2 back surgeries and nerve damage that is to bad to describe and also have cluster headaces.Does anyone know of a good dr and clinic that does spine ingections and will take over my prescritions of my fentora and ms contin.I live near charltte nc and i will go 100 miles if i have to in nc or sc to get good treatment.Please Help!!!!

HI, Troy! I'm sorry that you're miserable and having such problems at your doctor's office.

However, with the current situation regarding the changes to prescribing laws, it's going to be very difficult to move to a different doctor and still get narcotic medications.

Have you tried talking to them about why they've kept you waiting that long? That really seems excessive.

Is this a pain management clinic?

Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area?

The CDC put out Guidelines and state that the docs should be more conscience about what they prescribe. They,the CDC also have the some new tools to monitor patients and to treat each person on an individual basis. Also, pain doctors offices only have issues with 20% of bad patients now they are making the other 80 suffer for that. I know that the docs can check state pharmacy records now to see if they are dr shopping...one of the new tools. Docs just don't want to take the time to do these things so they give someone with injuries the same amount of meds that a person with a debilitating the same meds and lots of them can nnit be cured and just get worse..it is disease I have and I just decided to read the CDC pulication to know exactly what it said and. CDC also says undermedicating can do more harm for people like me. the medical field has become very cookie cutter despite having the CDC backin the up for thiose with major issues. You can google cdc opiate plan 2016 to read it yourself

I have Stage 4 Breast Cancer metastasized to my bones..my spine, ribs, knees, hip & some smaller bones in ankle and foot. I am on Fentanyl Citrate Lozenges 600mcg. I've been getting my script thru CVS fir almost a year and yet every month I givthru hell to get it filled. I meet all requirements, I am on 80mg OxyContin and use the Fentanyl for breakthrough pain..up to 3 a day. No more than that. Why am I so villified in the eyes of CVS. I am a 60 year old woman and have been fighting this disease for 10 years. They always eventually fill my script but not until I'm so upset and worn out from the bull that it's almost not worth it. Any suggestions? I have to use mail order as there are no local pharmacies that will bother with this med and all the restrictions that come with it.
