Need Help With Head Lice

Hi. I started itching in the second week. One pill in the morning one in the night. On the 3rd day of that my neck and chest is extremely itchy and started to break out in a rash. I called the doctor and she said stop immediately for a couple days till the rash goes away... ughh... I hope i can go back on it and maybe just take it once a day. We will see in a few days. Hope all is well!

What medication are you referring to? Can you please post back and clarify? You didn't mention it.

Normally, according to FDA treatment recommendations, head lice is treated by using a topical antiparasitic medication, there are several that are available over the counter, but there are also some available via prescription. Usually, they are applied to the hair, allowed to sit for a period of time, then a nit comb is used to removed them, as well as the eggs, and then you shampoo normally.

Did you catch a treatment resistant form?

I treated my head with a product called "rid once". Will the lice die from one treatment? Has anyone else been through this horrible thing called lice and then nits? Any help would be so appreciated. Nervous grandmother.
