Hello, I need some help as I just started pain management. I was taking 20mg oxycodone ir 3x a day and it wasn't working. My new Dr just put me on 2x a day morphine sulfate er. Is that stronger because I'm reading oxycodone is 1.5x stronger? I don't wanna be in withdrawal and have worse pain.

What dosage of Morphine did your doctor prescribe? That is the relevant information needed in order to answer you question. Can you please post back with this information? Thank you!

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
