Naltrexone 50mg

Updated

I have recently stopped taking Percocet. It's been 4 days and the withdrawals are horrible.
My doctor prescribed me 50 mg of naltrexone to help.
He said its fine to start taking them right away but I see a lot of sites say 10 days to 2 weeks after your last Percocet.
Is 4 days enough time. Shouldn't he know what's best?

Yes, he should, since he is a doctor. However, taking it too soon could cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The NIH lists those withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, seizures, rebound pain, and diarrhea.

Have you started taking it, yet?

Hi there, my last dose of 5mg oxycodone was at noon on a friday. Took 50mg of naltrexone sunday at 6pm. Took away my fatigue and letharic feeling. Feel great. Restless legs are calmed. Was going to go on suboxen tomorrow and now have changed my mind. This is just my experience.
