Nyc Oxymorphone Er 30 Pharmacy

I have been on the generic oxymorhpone for years and never had a problem getting it where I am from. However now that I am in New York City pharmacies say that they are unable to order it. It's always hard to tell if they legitimately cannot order it or they just don't want to deal with another pain patient. Can anyone recommend pharmacies to me? Brooklyn or Manhattan preferred.

I don't live in NYC so I won't be able to give you a list of specific pharmacies but I can give you some tips on how to handle this situation.

It always saves a lot of time to call the pharmacies instead of going to the physical location, more often than not they will tell you over the phone if they carry the brand you're looking for and if not if they have policies in place to special order. Another tip, don't skip over the mom and pop shops, the smaller the company the more likely they are to fill your request as larger pharmacies typically purchase in bulk and it just isn't in their business plan to keep doing small orders.

Some other things to keep in mind is the reason that you need the generic. Are you doing this because you have a negative reaction to the other brands or is it simply because you don't want to try something new. Pharmacies are more willing to budge and special order when they know that you have tried the brand they carry and see that it doesn't work for you.

Last and possibly most important, attitude is everything. You will be much more likely to get the customer service you desire if you are a pleasant customer. Kindness breeds kindness just as much as anger breeds anger.

I can tell you from personal experience it does take effort on your part to find a pharmacy that is willing to comply with your request but if you are persistent I am sure that you will eventually find a pharmacy that is willing to order the generic for you. Be patient and willing to travel and it hopefully it happens sooner than later.

Thank you for the response. The brand version of this medication was taken off the market last year, which is why I am looking for generic. I know the indie pharmacies are more likely to order it, especially since they have more options when it comes to vendors. I find that if I ask about C2 medications over the phone it is generally a waste of time - I just thought that by some stroke of luck someone here may have some recommendations. Thanks.
