Mycophenolat

I have been diagnoised to have bulous pemphigoid and my doctor has prescribed Mycophenolat tablets 500 mg. Is this the best medication and will taking it over a period of time harm my system.

Mycophenolic Acid is an immunosuppressant, that is normally used to prevent organ rejection in adults with kidney transplants.

Since. Bullous Pemphigoid is thought to be an immune disorder, it makes sense that your doctor may want to try this drug.

The main problem with long-term use of these medications is that it does suppress your whole immune system. This can mean that it will be easier for you to catch other illnesses, such as colds, flu or infections.

I have Myasthenia Gravis. My doctor has prescribed Mycophenolat 250 MG twice per day. Is this the best medication and by taking this drug over a period of time will this harm my system?
