My Experience Of Side Effects On Wysolone (Page 3)

My younger brother aged 35 years had a problem of double vision in left eye due to nerve damage and as per doctor advise, he used wysolone tablets 120mg per day along with other medicines for 45 days. The doctor did not told us the side effect of wysolone and precautions which we have to take while using wysolone. We don't know that wysolone is a steroid. Due to this drug, my brother got side effects such as round face, double chin, rashes on all over body and heavy hungry. His eye problem is reduced in these 45 days. after 45 days, the doctor reduced wysolone drug by 80mg, 60mg,40mg like that per day. After 3days, he got problems of loose motions and vomtings and he became very weak. I took him to hospital. Doctors told that he is suffering with lack of immunity power due to steroid intake. After that he developed multi organ failure such as ARDS (Accute Respiratory Dissiminate Syndrom) or accute lung injury, brain failure, liver damage, kidnies damage, shortage of blood cells (plasma) etc. All this problems he got due to immuno suppression secondary to steroid intake. He treated on mechanical ventilator for 12 days. It is a costly treatment for us and we expend 8 lacs for his treatment by borrow money from friends, relatives and bank. After putting all efferts, he died and leave us in sadness. If the doctor tell us about the side effect of wysolone, my brother will live with us and my parents don't get depression at this age. I request all of you that please take care while using of wysolone. This drug will eat immunity power and will cause so many problems.

Are you normal now.. i was taking wysolone and Azoran (immune Suppressive) from last 5 years for Uveitis problem in my eyes.. but now i have stopped wysolone & azoran and took ayurvedic treatment.. now my eyes are fine but there are some health issues i am facing bcoz of side effects of wysolone and azoran i guess...

Hi. I am 35/M and was diagnosed with Nephrotic syndrome 2-3 months back. Underwent a kidney biopsy to find about FSGS. My nephrologist has started with wysolon 70mg (1mg / 1kg body weight) and it's been around a month with this dosage. I have started to get a few of the symptoms mentioned in this thread :-(

Can you please guide me to the details of Homeopathic treatment that helped in your case? I want to start that in parallel as well... Where is this homeopathic doctor available?

I am a 18 year old girl and my colonscopy report says I have Pancolitis (IUC). My doctor prescribed me Wysolone(10) along with an antibiotic glevo(500) and mesacol(800) and Razo(20), colospa-x and VSL#3. After just one day, I started having this abdominal pain, chest pain, muscle cramps, gas and I was taken to a general physician immediately. There I got to know that Wysolone is a steroid and had such and such side effects But I can't cut off this medicine because they told me it is the main medicine for treatment of Pancolitis. To counteract this medicine's side effects, my general physician advised me some medicines. My ultrasonography reports say I have an enlarged liver, both ovaries are enlarged and Shows multiple peripherally arranged cysts of size <10mm and slightly increased stromal echogenecity and few subcentimetric mesenteric lymphnodes are seen predominantly in RIF region. What should I do?

Can wyslone 10mg be taken for mouth ulcers? My husband takes it whenever he has a siever attack of mouth ulcers. Is it adviseable?

Hi....My mother takes wysolne 80mg tablets daily after food. Her Dr. suggested this tablet for (ITP diseases) platelets which have went from 5000, 6000, to 7000 in months.... wysolone tablets were taken for a period of 4 months... What happened when my mother took these tablets? Did she get cured of this disease?
