This is a 5mg Methadone tablet and the markings on it are just to enable its identification, in case of emergency. Every manufacturer must use an unique imprint code on their manufactured products and log them with the FDA.

This ensures that if there is a problem with the product, it can be identified according to the manufacturer, active ingredient and dosage. Or if someone overdoses or has a medical emergency, emergency personnel will be able to identify what they have been taking, in case they are not cognizant and can't tell them.

Methadone is a narcotic, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth.

Have you talked to your doctor about it not handling your pain?
